Great. Well, not really great. But, looks like a decent average grow. Just like all of the other decent grows I see. No one disputes that plants need light to grow. Or that COB will grow. Heck, you can pull a decent grow like that off with CFL, HID, Blurple, Induction. You name it. There are a lot of choices. And anyone can pull off a decent grow. So what is the point?

I think you noobs pumping this COB spreadsheet crap have done it more harm than good. The more pics you throw out, the more average the light seems and the less impact all the noob hype carries. I was once curious about the COB. Now I'm just like. Whatever. I'll probably not even waste my time and money testing one out for myself. Just seems like a waste after seeing photos.

@dandyrandy I mean nice grow dude. Nothing special or particularly eye opening. Everyone is getting decent yields. Plant looks healthy. Good job. Coulda done the same with Blurple or HPS though. Some of the real experts could have done as well with CFL even. Maybe better who knows?

At the end of the day. This COB crap is getting boring.
The point is that cobs get the same job done using less power than blurple, cfl, or HID. That's the point you keep missing.

I don't believe it. To many jumping on Blurple threads running down growers to believe. I think their is an agenda here. Don't matter. Don't care. Not gonna do COB. Weed can be grown for dimes a gram. Efficiency is not an issue. Period. It's just another method to pump and sell product to people who don't need it.

To people who don't live in their moms basement and actually have to pay bills, power consumption is an issue. Anyone who grows in a confined space, efficiency is an issue. Heat is a function of power displacement, closet growers reduce temps by reducing power draw. Cobs allow you to drop the power consumption and maintain the photon density. This is physics, nothing more nothing less.

There are many documented threads on this forum of people pulling about the same amount of dry weight using 30-50% less power than traditional HID setups. If that's 'bs' to you than I don't know what would define as reality(nor would I want to know).

For someone who doesn't post pictures of their grows, you sure do talk shit about the experienced people who do take the time to take pictures and document theirs.

With the Steep Hill equipment at this dispensary it tested 26.2% THC,SH equipment seems to have lower numbers than other types of labs so I'm waiting on results from a dedicated testing lab with different and better equipment, should have those numbers along with a terpene profile next week.
But your not saying your lamp is the reason why your results were awesome?

The agenda is to educate people who read the posts on this forum and are interested in science rather than hocus pocus.

It's clear that science makes you uncomfortable because you dont understand the concepts driving the decisions DiYers are making. Thats fine. It's over your head. You are entitled to wallow in your own ignorance.

We would just hate to have people follow the advice of someone who makes decisions based on anything other than science. Sometimes intelligent folks follow idiots if you give the idiot a mouthpiece. We're just trying to make sure everyone can tell you're just another idiot.

I've never sold a single fixture of any kind. Absolutely nothing to gain from promoting the use of the most efficient lighting tech to date. Just paying forward the knowledge that I was made privy to through this website and others.

Good day sir.

I think it was a major contributor to the results. A broader more balanced spectrum will promote cannabinoid and terpene production. I would imagine that most of the samples tested were grown under HPS and the guy doing the testing sounded surprised when I told him they were grown with LED.

I might add UV back to the next run to see if I get another bump in my test results.

@darthvapour

"Fact remains and i personally belive there are lots of LED grow lights that can grow decent yields and overall healthy plants and just because some growers choose to COB its not end all be all and really who gives a shit about effciency when the real game here is yield , quality "

Words of a dunce.
