I grew up in a very racist household, I mean really bad. Racist religious extremists. But growing up in NY and going to a non "zoned" school I had friends of every shape, size and color. One of my best friends in high school was a white dude named Kyle. He just didnt match up to all the hate filled images I had seen of the "white devil". I quickly learned to question everything, especially the stuff they have no explanation for like race and religion.

Wow what a great real life experience post & i loved hearing " white devils " because its a term from my youth that many here deny that racists teach their kids .

I was born durring segragation in 1952 & my father chose to buy a home in a 100% black neighborhood in the Cass corridor. because of its proxemity to his factory , i didnt have it bad where i was beaten up or anything but i knew the adults didnt like me , the 1st black true friends i made were Thomas & his sister Zena & we played together everyday & one day tom asked me to show him my tail ! I was like wtf you talking about my tail , he explained his parents told him all white devils were born with tails & we had our tails cropped at birth leaving a nubb, i had to drop trow & show him we didnt have lil stubs left over from our tails

Ive told the white devil story here as a sign of what was prevelant in the 1950's & got the poor oppressed white male speech so i just gave up trying to teach these fools that racism knows no color only hate .

I hear ya cause i was brought up with alot of bad ideals too & had to make my own mind up , ive allways used my own judgement.

As for me being brought up in an all black area of detroit & my parents beliefs im not even sure how to describe my father other than he hated everybody , even white people , germans were krauts , asians were gooks , english were limeys , irish were micks , jews were kikes , everybody else was assholes in his eyes & he didnt target one race for hatred thats why he wasnt concerned about living around blacks .

Later in life before his death he bought a 4,000 sq ft 6.5 acre estate in the most exclusive suburb in Michigan where it was all white , he hated everybody there too , i inherited the estate & its our summer home now .

I dont think he was a racist like you & i know i think his experiences in ww2 & the korean war fucked his head up where he thought everybody was stupid , even whites , he was part of kicking the master race's ass in ww2 so i dont think he believed anybody was superior over anybody else he just thought everybody sucked he was a odd man & one who grew up working in coal mines since he was 8 yrs old .

As for segragation of neighborhoods it was so different in the 50's where blacks & whites didnt want to mix in detroit & prefered not to mix, blacks & whites both made the same money working in auto plants & both had excellent well kept homes so they just hated each other & kept to themselves , its hard to explain & have it make sense but both races prefered to be segregated for the most part , where the problems arose that caused riots were from the brutal conduct by police against blacks while giving whites a free pass.

To me living in a black neighborhood was normal until people tried telling me it wasnt , people would tell me at church why the races shouldnt mix & use fear mongering tactics to scare the whites , i'd come home & just see people doing the same shit my dad did everyday so i knew the church was full of shit .

The police & governments are the instigators of racism because as long as were fighting each other their free to do wtf they want .

We have neighbors with a 25 acre lot & both our propertys are worth more selling them to developers so they can tear the home down & put 6 homes in its place , my neighbors were offered $5 mil just for 20 acres of their land , We claim it as homestead so the taxes are lower & are just over $12,000 which is cheap , the smaller house in Frankenmuth gets taxed even harder cause they consider it a vacation home .

This whole race idea has to much bearing on todays culture. Institutions use "the race card" to keep us divided.
The whole idea came about with the slaves. It was a way of justifying the ownership of a human being because they look different.

Which shootings are these? There is no evidence lower capacities decrease deaths, deter crimes or stop shootings. If everyone is so he'll bent on calling this terrorism, then you have to understand that the worst event of domestic terrorism in this country never had one shot fired. On the subject of guns i dont know if theres evidence supporting the smaller clip count being a factor that saves lives but it surely couldnt hurt if they could enforce the law where criminals cant get hold of 33 round pistol clips & 200 round rifle magazines, even a cop dont need 33 rounds in his 9mm & should be for military use only , if you have to fire 33 rounds its time for a different weapon .

Im now carrying a 45 that holds 15 + 1 where the weapon is allways hot safely & its more than enough to defend me & my wife with the heavy loads i use at 50 yards , she carrys a 380 with a 10 round clip thats deadly at close range & is enough for her to defend herself , a 33 round 9mm is an obscene amount of ammo for a civilians self defense , those $400 cheap ass 22 cal AK's they flooded the market with along with the 200 round magazines they take are the most useless weapon sold that has no use except to do drive by's & should be outlawed .

in tucson, jared loughner was stopped when he dropped his magazine reloading. a guy on the scene with concealed carry was too afraid to take out his gun and start shooting, fearing he'd be mistaken for the shooter and killed.

several children were able to flee the adam lanza massacre when he went to change magazines.
