List of clubs that rip off vendors in Cali

I know for a fact that the grow was in compliance with every regulation SC county had except the plant limit.
.
Then it wasn't in compliance since it violated the plant limit. You do seem to know a lot about his operation.
And who knows why the police went after his grow, we can only speculate; perhaps they don't like that he's a convicted child molester, or he's trying to change his name so that others don't know who he is. Maybe the many complaints about his thievery have gotten him noticed. Either way, I doubt its anything more than just appropriate payback for an evil piece of shit child sodomizer.

Also - he wasn't the only dispensary grow raided this weekend. They hit Jim from Greenway too and possibly one of the grows from Redwood Coast Collective in Boulder Creek (haven't verified that one yet). There were definitely at least 3 grow raids in Aptos alone.

While Jim is also a dirt bag, the rest of the people who got raided weren't. Just like Elemental. They are good people. And I make no excuses for JD's behavior. He has no place in the legal business IMO. I'm just commenting on the grow itself and the raid. The grow, other than the plant count, which is impossible to comply with for a dispensary grow, was in compliance.

Honestly, if the standard is 99 plants and he's violated that by having 2000, then I still don't understand what they really did wrong?
They left him with 99 of his best plants lol
"The Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Department said deputies raided a medical marijuana farm in the Santa Cruz Mountains, which supplies Granny Purps. They said the plants were seized because of new cultivation rules stating the grow had an illegal amount of plants growing. The plants belonged to owner of Granny Purps, J.D. Black." J.D. Black's real name is Jeffrey David Sudman.

And the knowledge of the address they are grown at (perhaps intentionally done).
"5000 block of Fern Flat Road in Aptos, not far from the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park"

The county board of supervisors and sheriff promised the community that if they supported the cannabis tax the money would only go towards getting rid of what they described as "the bad actors". They clearly defined "the bad actors" as being cartels, people growing on public land/parks, and people causing environmental damage such as cutting down redwoods or diverting streams. They also promised that even in these situations they would send out people from the planning department to inspect the grows, not law enforcement.

They made these promises over and over again. They were very clear about it. They said it publicly in front of cameras probably a few hundred times. Their support for the tax was based on these statements. The second they had the tax money they immediately just started busting every grow the could. They have 20-30 sheriffs at these raids using military tactics, which they also promised not to do.

Basically, they lied to everyone.

That just sounds like more politicians promising things that are not supported by the letter of the law. Public hearings are just that, its not where the laws are made or decided.
Moral: Don't trust what politicians tell you publicly its usually rhetoric.
Jeffrey D. Sudman (aka J.D. Black) knew the growing limit was 99 plants but he decided to grow 2000 plants anyway then file a permit or get approval or whatever it was that caused him to get raided. The standards are known and those that violate them are at risk of more raids. Again I still don't see exactly what the Sherriffs did was wrong, they are enforcing the letter of the law (ie their jobs).

So that makes it ok for the government to lie to the public? I don't think it does. I think if Granny Purps decides to sue the sheriff they will win.

What the sheriff did wrong was lie to the public.

Those standards are impossible to comply with. You can't have medical cannabis collectives with those rules. They would run out of products.

And if you feel that law enforcement should be locking people up over cannabis then I hope you are next.

This your opinion and its obviously not what the law makers feel is an issue. This sound more and more like how can a dispensary maximize its profits by growing all of their own product rather than what is right or wrong with the rules for cannabis cultivation in Santa Cruz County. And honestly, to hold someone to what was said during an open public discussion sounds naive and gullible. And out of touch with the rest of the law making process.

Lets be very clear, No one was locked up. Not even Jeffrey, even tho he probably deserves it for his numerous past business and personal issues. He was in violation of the number of plants (just that simple), and because he has ripped off so many of the small growers no one trust him enough to do business with him.

You sound somewhat like an alarmist and maybe thats just how are you. Public hearings are just that. It's not the venue to decide and make the laws.

Perhaps you should run for public office then you can talk to the public during those hearings and tell them the truth.

These raids are applying to everyone. No matter who you are or what you do to attempt to comply to the law. Dispensary, grower, seed breeder, edibles makers, etc have all been raided.

As for "no one being locked up", the county is still deciding whether or not to charge several victims of these raids with multiple felonies. They may even face mandatory minimums.

If you think that's a good thing that the board of supervisors and sheriff lied to the public so they could indiscriminately raid growers, then fuck you. I hope you get raided next. You are part of the problem.

When your argument degrades to explicatives and hopes for others to be raided then you've already lost your side man. Chill out and don't take yourself to seriously. Maybe smoke up a big one and decide what your course will be. Stay in SC and fight the good fight or become bitter and paranoid that you're gonna get raided tomorrow morning.
And maybe you should pick your causes better.
But building your point by using a felon child pedophile as a victim of compliance raids as a call for everyone to become paranoid is pointless, seriously.
Maybe you can stop complaining, run for public office, and make a change, unless of course you have some sort of sorted past that prevents you from doing so.
You are either apart of the solution or the problem right?

Yeah, hope you're next dude.

I have a certain intolerance for people who support the police raiding people for growing herb. Call it a personality quirk but it just rubs me the wrong way.

I didn't say that and stop putting words in my mouth and making me out for some Gestapo type person. You're weird man, you aren't able to spread your fear mongering so you resort to threats. I imagine you probably have a large grow going and you're concerned, then you should be, because you're likely the next target. Enjoy yourself.

I was curious to know if the County issued a Warrant before raiding the Granny Purps grow?? I have two witnesses in my federal lawsuit against the County as medical marijuana patient over the tax and cultivation ban they enacted. I am suing them for violating my federal civil rights under color of state law. My two grower caregiver witnesses had all their plants all removed and were locked up in solitary confinement too. Curious to find out why Granny Purps was cut back to 99 plants...is this selective enforcement where the County is part of the marijuana cartel in control of the County??? That's what I'm alleging in my case 15-405 the US District Court Northern District California San Jose branch.

You're the guy who gets up at the BoS meetings and talks about suing Ian and Ben Rice right?

IMHO I think Granny Purps was selected for 'cut back' because the owner Jeffrey David Sudman going by the alias JD Black is a Very very dark man. He is a convicted felon child sodomizer (I know those words are heavy but none the less its true), feel free to search his name in the Megans Law website.
http://www.homefacts.com/offender-detail/CA18604252J0831/Jeffrey-Sudman.html
I know that his alias JD Sudman was added to that site, but not JD Black (yet). Also Granny Purps has a very long history of ripping off vendors by accepting their products and medicine and then just not paying them. Jeffrey has been sued in the past, and is in current litigation with several vendors who are suing him for payment.

Fight a good fight man, the laws and courts are changing and soon we wont need to live in as much fear as in the past. Of course there are rules and laws that the government is putting in place to control, tax, and monitor the safety of the medicine. As a patient who has become very sick from imbibing medicine that was tainted with some form of banned insecticide or nutrients or a combo of both. I welcome some form of regulation that hopefully will control the level of pollutants and other chemicals that some growers don't seem to care to be sprayed on or added to their plants and flowers. I hope we as growers (big or small) choose to use quality organic ingredients knowing that very sick patients are making use of our medicine.

Yes you are on to something here ..............in fact JD Black (Jeffrey Sudman) was arrested in the past week for running another grow in SC. Not paying taxes, ripping off vendors and basically making everyone else within the community engaged in this business look bad has spelled the end for JD.

This thread is for the expressed purpose of warning the community of those dispensaries who steal from growers. This is not for dispensaries who you feel charge to much or have inferior products. This is only to warn about thievery.

Also acceptable here would be dispensaries who've owed you a lot of money and didn't pay you in the agreed upon amount of time and instead only gave you a small amount (less than 10%) of what they owe you to shut you up. I know this is a common trick a lot of ponzi scheming dispensaries use. But please, be reasonable. Being a week late on an agreed upon payment is not the same as stealing. But if for example they've owed you $3k and said they'd pay you in 3 weeks, and it's been 2+ months and all you've gotten from them is $200, then yes, that's a ponzi scheme and everyone should be warned.

Please list as much relevant info as you can about the club in question.
What about patient's who want to fight a cartel of growers and dispensaries??
