this one is having me speechless. Something is just not rightdo people who are 6 feet tall normally hang themselves from a 5' wall after a traffic stop for failure to use a blinker escalates into edited dash cam footage?
i've been following the story for a while now and the details just do not add up in any way.this one is having me speechless. Something is just not right
Part of it might be how desirable she was. Nobody deserves that, but still, it seems like even more of an injustice to an imperfect person who also considers it a damn shame such a fine woman is gone. She was only mildly attractive physically, but so feisty.this one is having me speechless. Something is just not right
i hope you don't mind cat hair. Can I buy some weed from you Uncle Buck?...
she should never have even been arrested. the cop escalated the whole thing with absolutely no need. The Cop did that arrested her did every thing legal.
AND that is a problem. This guy shouldn't be a cop. And we need a way to be legally protected from cops like this.
I agree. definatly a case of cartmanshe should never have even been arrested. the cop escalated the whole thing with absolutely no need.
asking her to put out her cigarette was not a lawful order. Getting out of her car was.No, I didn't see it that way. While she was very irate and confrontational, she wasn't the one escalating. She didn't have to put out her cig or get out of the car under the circumstances in which he gave those orders. Neither was a lawful order, nor was it lawful to order her to put the phone down. It was a false arrest.
He only demanded that because she refused to put out her cig though. He escalated it to that point. In order to give her the lawful order to exit the vehicle, he either has to have probable cause to search or place her under arrest. Both are easy to substantiate but it can be argued easily by the dashcam video that he didn't.asking her to put out her cigarette was not a lawful order. Getting out of her car was.
Finally! Someone is asking the question we have all been dying to ask.do people who are 6 feet tall normally hang themselves from a 5' wall after a traffic stop for failure to use a blinker escalates into edited dash cam footage?
no, it was not. you do not need to get out of your car at any point during any traffic stop.asking her to put out her cigarette was not a lawful order. Getting out of her car was.

if they ask you too, say "no thanks". if they insist again, say "no thanks. i'm not under arrest".
there are only two outcomes possible: you drive away, or you're under arrest.
know your rights and exercise them.
you're a fucking dumbass.her actions lead to her incarceration and untimely death.
I wasn't aware it carried a death sentence to have a snippy attitude.http://www.columbuscriminaldefenseattorney.com/2012/03/16/must-you-get-out-of-your-car-during-a-traffic-stop-police-interaction-part-ix/
This attorney disagrees with you. not really looking for an argument I personally thought you were required to exit the vehicle if you are stopped by the cops.
Why was it a big deal that he asked her to put her cigarette out? Kinda seems like a common courtesy, but I wouldnt know since I do not smoke cigs. He only told her to get out of the car because she got snippy about the cig. Long story short the cop is a dick for his attitude through the whole thing but ultimately her actions lead to her incarceration and untimely death.
Wasnt aware she was murdered....I wasn't aware it carried a death sentence to have a snippy attitude.
She was under arrest at that point. Doesn't matter whether the cop has a valid reason or not. He doesn't have to announce that either. Asking her out of the car is a legal orderno, it was not. you do not need to get out of your car at any point during any traffic stop.
