Well I was going to do the room all in 315's but for what I had in btu vs wattage it was more bang for the buck incorporating the 1000w and a nice comfortable temp in the room.
Yes they are lower due to Ac inlet.

Are the 1000W bulbs CMH? Double ended? I ran the 400w phillips CMH for yrs but they stopped making them when they started the new line where you have to buy their ballast. So I went to the 1000w Solis Tek 4k MH. There is no doubt in my mind that white full spectrum light is better than the hps yellow.

Want to see some more from this.
Yields per light?
Do you think the 315's really are "equal" to a 600?

I use them for my mothers and they seem to work very well. Never flowered under them.

You know why they did that, right? It's because all the performance improvements come from the ballast!

That very well may be, at least that's what the salesman says. I've seen the spectrum graphs and none of the new CMH bulbs have the spectrum the old retro 100 had especially in the UV & IR areas. New fixture $400 + bulbs $80 to $120 compared to $36 / bulb run on a standard mag ballast. It's may??? be a better product, but it definitely has a better profit margin.

funny that he says, I beg to differ to doc, then post a pic with 2 stretched out plants right behind his melon.
Wow Chuck, I don't even know who Doc is. I can tell you clearly don't know what's going on behind my melon. How do you figure that they are stretched out? Lol I don't claim to be an expert cultivator but I will say that you do not know what you're talking about. These Querkle when I took possession of them we're in a premature flower good friend of mine was shuffling rooms and well I guess you can imagine what happened. So this friend of mine was going to throw these girls away I adopted them for a small small price of 100 American banknotes. They were 4 ft tall and in 3.5 gallon and 5 gallon pots. I topped them all as I cut them around the 6th node from the bottom or the 6th node up.
Are you following me? I had to regress them and I put them in a 24hr veg. So prior to me adopting them they had been alive for about 6 weeks. I vegged them for 3 months before I flipped them last month. If you know anything about the Querkle phenotypes short and purple or big and sativa speedy. i have the second pheno. So between them getting topped and lollipop all the production is mid level and of course all the way up to the top so I don't understand why is it stretch to you because the top of those particular plants is higher than the plant but that's just doesn't make sense can you please explain to me your opinion of why my plants are stretched I'm very curious to hear your diatribe. There are 4 very distinct different Querkle in the room. So maybe I should put a couple more pictures up so that you can see the production and that is pretty much all big bud at the top Why you think that girls are stretched.? If i am wrong then please by all means correct me!...20150911_015523.jpg20150911_013506.jpg 20150911_013506.jpg 20150909_014810_HDR.jpg 20150908_220524_HDR.jpg

Look up 'square waveform' and that will explain why the new 315W LEC ballasts are more efficient.

My ballast are digital and the bulbs are the Philips master color 315w single end. My only complaint with them is that they're not true gravidas and I can not remotely remove the ballast out of the room. The ballast and light does give off in my opinion a lot of heat. The finance team didnt get my opinion they just ordered them. 20150911_201147.jpg20150911_201813.jpg 20150911_201813.jpg 20150911_201147.jpg
