Well I was going to do the room all in 315's but for what I had in btu vs wattage it was more bang for the buck incorporating the 1000w and a nice comfortable temp in the room.wow! very sexy! why so many cmh compared to the hps? and it seems they are higher than the hps in the pic?? why? either way NICE setup!
Are the 1000W bulbs CMH? Double ended? I ran the 400w phillips CMH for yrs but they stopped making them when they started the new line where you have to buy their ballast. So I went to the 1000w Solis Tek 4k MH. There is no doubt in my mind that white full spectrum light is better than the hps yellow.I'm running 48 315w CMH & 4 1000w air cooled hoods
5 ton Ac
1 150 can filter
2 air box 3's
24ft X 27ft
Qeurkle
Pro mix
Sensi A B for veg
Connoisseur A B bloom
Ignighter
Rhino skin
Bud factor X
Overdrive
15g & 20g pots
Reverse Osmosis water

You know why they did that, right? It's because all the performance improvements come from the ballast! Are the 1000W bulbs CMH? Double ended? That very well may be, at least that's what the salesman says. I've seen the spectrum graphs and none of the new CMH bulbs have the spectrum the old retro 100 had especially in the UV & IR areas. New fixture $400 + bulbs $80 to $120 compared to $36 / bulb run on a standard mag ballast. It's may??? be a better product, but it definitely has a better profit margin. You know why they did that, right? It's because all the performance improvements come from the ballast!
Wow Chuck, I don't even know who Doc is. I can tell you clearly don't know what's going on behind my melon. How do you figure that they are stretched out? Lol I don't claim to be an expert cultivator but I will say that you do not know what you're talking about. These Querkle when I took possession of them we're in a premature flower good friend of mine was shuffling rooms and well I guess you can imagine what happened. So this friend of mine was going to throw these girls away I adopted them for a small small price of 100 American banknotes. They were 4 ft tall and in 3.5 gallon and 5 gallon pots. I topped them all as I cut them around the 6th node from the bottom or the 6th node up.funny that he says, I beg to differ to doc, then post a pic with 2 stretched out plants right behind his melon.
Look up 'square waveform' and that will explain why the new 315W LEC ballasts are more efficient. That very well may be, at least that's what the salesman says. My ballast are digital and the bulbs are the Philips master color 315w single end. My only complaint with them is that they're not true gravidas and I can not remotely remove the ballast out of the room. The ballast and light does give off in my opinion a lot of heat. The finance team didnt get my opinion they just ordered them. That very well may be, at least that's what the salesman says.
