I try to keep my left thumbnail long as it just seems to come in handy when it is. But I usually accidentally break it at work then just tear the rest off and amuse myself for 5 minutes with how bendy but yet still strong it is.

I had a broken little finger once and after the splint was taken off ( 6 weeks or so) I had such a long nail it started to curl round!!!

Your nails tell you a lot about your health. Look for vertical or horizontal ridges and I believe white spots are from knocks and/ or zinc deficiency.
