No not now.. They are just wilted wet loose limp cuttings.
I have close to 100% success rate if I use ONLY distilled water, no clone gel, not even aloe anymore, just water, and run the cloner 24/7. I also have a small aquarium pump with a stone on the end for good measures (probably not needed at all)
I have had the opposite experience of what hyroot recommends, I typically have waaay better success with the greener stems as opposed to the woody ones. Doesn't mean he is incorrect, or that i am right, just means the strain I've had experience with do better with the greener stems.
BUT that's with the EZcloner, when I had the old school dome/water spray bottle method, the woody cuts were more successful, but for me, the ezcloner does better with the greener ones.
When I get cuts, I get a different party cup (a third full of water) for each donor strain, and immediately put them in the cups when I take them off the plant, it's crucial to get them into the water ASAP, and it's crucial to take them from the plant using VERY sharp scissors or even better an exacto knife.
Trim the tips of the leaves to "fit" them in the cloner better, so they don't overlap each other, and only use a single bulb 24w t5.
Anything more than that will stress them and they'll wilt.
Run the cloner 24/7, it doesn't take hardly any electricity, and the constant barrage of the water on the stems/roots decreases rooting time.
Keep the light on at least for 17 hrs. I go with 24, but that's because sometimes I take cuttings from a bunch of flowering moms
