It is very strange here in recent times, walking around with a camera talking pictures of buildings is considered a potential act of terrorism LOLDamn man that must have been nuts man i grew up in beijing which was pretty cool as well, but yeah i just miss the human touch of society where you can pretty much do things as you want but you'll be held responsible if things go bad or you step on someone else's toes. Here its like you cant do anything unless the government specifically tells you that you can rather than them letting you do what you want unless its noticeably harmful and then in that case stepping in, I mean china's a strange place and theres a lot that the government does thats sketch but despite what everyone here thinks I feel like the UK government controls people waaaaay waaaaay more than china its just its so normal here nobody realises that this amount of legislation isnt common in other places, but here they dont go for you because of your political views (which is definitely a good thing) so people think that they aren't that controlling.
i doubt its like that in Beijing ?
