Hello friends. Just wanted to drop a line.
I'm a 1st time grower. My wife is very disabled, and I'm on my way there as well. So I am extremely limited on supplies and funds.
I would really like some help on how to grow inside, or in a garage. With very little money. Also, all I have are some commercial (regg) seeds. I know, that's Shitty. But it's all I have to work with.
What do I need to do to start.? And then I'll just go from there. (with asking you all for advice along the way of course. Lol).
Thanks to all who help. Happy smoking friends...
To my blog is an easy pro guide : https://www.rollitup.org/Journal/Entry/12-week-grow-sceneario-by-jorge-cervantas.30164/450 315 Phillips

good luck

To get enough meds for you and your wife to last the gap between crops I would seriously reccomend hid lighting. It's without doubt gonna get you the most bang for your buck. I can get a 600w ballast, bulb and reflector for £50 and that has the potential to yield me 20oz, even if you only get 10 you're still smoking for almost nothing.

I've seen a lot of good grows on here done on a shoestring.

First you need to section off an area of ur garage to be used as your grow room. There's no point in using your full garage as you don't have the funds to light it all. It doesn't have to be perfect just lightproof. Hopefully you can manage this or you can get someone to help you.

After this you need to sort out your ventilation. You will need an extraction fan coupled with a carbon filter. You will have to buy the fan but can make the filter yourself.

Next you will need a small circulating fan for moving the air around the grow room, you probably allready have one in your home that you can use.

Finally you need to decide how many plants to grow and what to grow them in. I'm a hydro guy but i would suggest using soil. It's cheaper (initially) and easier to start off with.
There are a few cheap soil mixes but your best bet is to either make a super soil yourself (check the subcool thread) or use a soil and nutrient that is commonly used and talked about on this site like fox farm, that way you have access to information and troubleshooting.

You can use any plastic container as a pot but pots are cheap so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I would send you some bits and pieces from my spares but the shipping would probably cost more than the items worth.

If you can get hold of something like that for that price it will be the best investment you ever make.

The other option like others have said is to go outdoors but I know nothing of any great help to you about that route.

I really hope you find your way itl greatly improve your quality of life. Good luck.

Smell can be a problem. A carbon filter is pretty much required. Blower and carbon filter is $100 and up.

You can get some of that silver bubble wrap insulation and build your own grow tent with that if your garage isn't heated. I was surprised this winter when I bought a 1000 watt mh/hps system at how much the price has gone down on them...and also at how little heat it put out. I was unable to grow in my garage room because of this.

Prices differ massively over the pond don't they? For us 600w lights are best value for money, over there it seems the 1000w lights are only slightly more expensive than their 600w.

I guess, have not brought any hps myself have gone straight to led, think its just a case of knowing what you want then sitting there for a day going through pages of ebay/amazon results to get the best bang per buck.

I have seen loads of listings from across the pond though and the price has been good but the postage pretty much doubled the price so if you are prepared to put the hours in searching for all the different names (including slang and misspellings) used for equipment then they must be about. Most listings on ebay have two main areas for suggested results one is a bar just under the main listing and the other is near the bottom and this is two bars, They seem to be based on more than just the name you search but I have found some wicked bargains using them aswell as search results.

Sorry. You can't grow indoors with very little money.
I would have to disagree with you. There are many ways to that I have been seeing all over the internet. Obviously not easy but you can make most all the nuts you need from organic scraps you throw away on a everyday basis. Soil mine was under 3.00 and I will add some stuff as needed but not needed yet. Lighting you can use old lamp fixtures you have around the house. A diy box well you just need wood and he is a man so might have some around the house if not the cost for hardware and wood 40.00 Light bulbs I just bought 6 at wal-mart for 18.00.. Come on now if I wanted to spend thousands of dollars on my grow I would continue to buy..
