This is the exact comment I am not looking for. Biased and uninformed. The s2000 is one of the best track cars especially for the age... the F20c made the most power per litre until the 458 came out... Won engine of the year multiple times... I work at home or at my friends shop, so hence why I can do all the mods.... I don't pay others to touch my cars... I used to work on cars daily... Also if you check my link without just blurting out, you'd see a 800whp stock block s2000, with only supporting mods to sustain/make the power it makes. Looks are in the eye of the beholder... The s2000 look way better then a C5... The only way the C5 would look even(in my eyes) is with the C5R head lights that look like the C6. I hate pop up head lights. Drive a modded miata... You'll love it. Scary fun drive cars. You would have to build the S2000 to the nuts to out track the vette, making it unreliable for the long haul.
Plus any asshole can work on a stock vette, simple design. Wouldn't';t have to find a "raped import" specialty shop just to get simple work done.
Plus the Honda looks like a Miata. We all know what everyone is thinking when a guy driving a Miata goes by. That will be you.
So basically for 16-17k Ill have a 600+whp s2000 unless I go bigger then a 62/62.
The Z06 with bolt ons, cam, heads(if enough money is there), should be around the same power. And that will run 16-20k
