Yeah P it is weird what's going on with your flowering :cry:. I'm pretty sure I started flowering mine after yours and both my Goji and Critical M are catching up to yours. Can you sacrifice one to the god of bottled nutes to see if your vegan mix isn't up to snuff? I mean what can it be? It ain't excessive nitrogen or temps delaying flowering, right? The panel's driver hasn't dropped a few hundred mA, right? I guess I see some heat/light stress in some photos but again they look nice and healthy. Maybe it's temp flux? I was running my AC last night and now I'm ready to plug in a heater tonight. Do you have a new toy in the flowering area? And how much and how long have you been L+HSTing them? That's gotta slow flowering with most strains.

Very weird. Maybe your calendar is a bit off? Best of Luck with the sitch and thanks for sharing your grows with the community PSU. That last part is just in case no one's said it lately!
Fran, I'm not really sure ..
But ...
Could it be a light parameter / variable that is often underestimated ?
That kinda belongs to the "Light Quality " characteristics ...

Could it be the " Phytochrome Photostationary State " value of this particular wavelength combo ?
The PPS or also known as PPE ( Phytochrome Photo Equilibrium ) ?

Afterall ,Osram ,launched the new 730 nm ,mainly for fruiting and flowering annuals ...
Could it be ,the "ingredient" that is missing and making all the difference ?
Possibly ...

And please ,do not hurry to turn down another theory / hypothesis ...
Still ,take it with a grain of salt ...
.....
:dunce:
Could it be ,that the reproductive ( flowering ) procedures are related -somehow- to the stem elongation degree and/or
the internodal distance ?

( We pretty much know ,that this is the case with the Ruderalis sp. )

But if the rest types 've indeed evolved from the " ancient" Ruderalis type .....
Can we be 100% sure ,that the actual reproduction of the "modern" Sativa/ Indica species is basedonly on Circadian rythms and not also -to a lesser degree,of course - on stem height (or number of nodes ) and /or internodal distance ? *****
Afterall ,primordia (" pre-flowers" ) usually appear on certain nodes ( 10th - 14th ) ...
Moreover ,phytochrome seems to affect directly, both the flowering and the stem elongation/ internodal distance ...
Dunno ..
Then again ,maybe it's just me, being soooo high ...( As usual ) ...:P

..........
Nevertheless ,indeed PSUAGRO proves once more ,that above his equipment ,
he has all the growing skills & experties of an excellent and experienced grower ....

- Maybe ,just maybe ,the number of nodes and/or internodal distances ,serve as a "memory bank" ,
where the " past " states of Pfr/Pr ratios are being "recorded" ,somehow ...
I.e. Auxins or other reproduction-related phytohormones have to "travel " longer or shorter distances to the plant tops and/or "split" their total concentration into more or less branches (nodes ) ,thus affecting the actual time and vigor of reproduction....
Just a "rough " ,but " simple" enough hypothesis there ... -
........

(...) Auxins were the first of the major plant hormones to be discovered. They derive their name from the Greek word αυξειν (auxein - "to grow/increase"). Auxin (namely IAA) is present in all parts of a plant, although in very different concentrations. The concentration in each position is crucial developmental information, so it is subject to tight regulation through both metabolism and transport. The result is the auxin creates "patterns" of auxin concentration maxima and minima in the plant body, which in turn guide further development of respective cells, and ultimately of the plant as a whole.

The (dynamic and environment responsive) pattern of auxin distribution within the plant is a key factor for plant growth, its reaction to its environment, and specifically for development of plant organs[4][5] (such as leaves or flowers). It is achieved through very complex and well coordinated active transport of auxin molecules from cell to cell throughout the plant body — by the so-called polar auxin transport.[4] Thus, a plant can (as a whole) react to external conditions and adjust to them, without requiring a nervous system. Auxins typically act in concert with, or in opposition to, other plant hormones. For example, the ratio of auxin to cytokinin in certain plant tissues determines initiation of root versus shoot buds.

No difference between your "white " cob fixtures and this very heavy 660nm panel in flowering time so far for you?.......
Not yet after this run? I will have better understanding with a heavy indica that I have done under COBs.
There is something going on with the 660s? I just don't know what? If I was to guess Causes heavy oil production ,but its just that a guess. There are a couple Tangie phenos I would like to run under the Osram sometime to see what the 660s will do to it. I thought there might be a lot of stretch, but nothing bad.and that's what the I thought might happen with with the hybrid, but the 451s? I think kept that in check?
Feeding Program/Schedule are a close 2nd to the light source IMO terms of Growth,Production and flower quality.

From looking at a distance. Seed to flower. Looking to green. Nitrogen and PH looks a little high.
Any P or K def?
How long does it take for pot to dry up?

Cant expect soil base to perform even close to Coco/DWC to begin with. Pots just don't dry out fast enough to get the needed High speed growth.

The panel hasn't dimmed, or dropped output imo, vegan mix was fine for years and mutipass had his best run using it, temps are within range mostly, no new sex toys(lol), just super-cropped one girl on sunday.

I'm taking a big risk by overlapping the canopy with extra mass in high RH conditions...............will see

no apparent defs and i haven't checked ph in years now...............very low npk #s on the dte product , the growers that know me I always tend to underfeed since switching to organics.

we knew when Osram released this fixture that it was a general purpose panel, and 100% mono's excel at that. For flowering annuals?idk......., but knna warned us about excessive 660nm=== highest photosynthetic influence per watt can do strange things. Needs added 730nm to shorten flowering and can still maintain system efficiency/thermal management, the german's already know this obviously with releasing the flower specific par 38 bulbs.

I just can't understand why soooooooo much 660 in this fixture, wtf did R&D see? unheard of B/DR ratio really...............thanks for the kind words, hope hellas is calm.......

The single biggest determinant of flowering speed in my grow is temperature. Warmer plants develop and finish more quickly, all else being equal.
yep, temps are always a major factor..........I don't like to be chilly either:wink:

It's mostly coir in this mix due to the large up-pot, I get max 2 days before hand watering in this 30gal

Awesome to see a round 2. I don't think your plant is slow or that climatic factors are causing undue stress... Nor is it because you're using soil that "cant perform even close to coco/dwc"... And I don't think I've read it anywhere but I've come to understand the beginning of flowering to be between showing pre-flowers and alternative branching patterns. I believe around day 28 is when you say they are girls so if you were going off of what I said you'd only be around day 30 of flowering.

Thank you always for sharing so creepers like me can do what I do best... Creep...................

Hey buddy, I have a friend who just left the mainland this morning on his way to the Big Island to homestead. He and his girlfriend are buying an acre or two of unimproved land about ten miles outside of Hilo and he's going to be building his own place- and garden.

Amy advice, more that it's too late to convince him of his foolishness? LOL j/k, truth is, I'm a bit jealous. Should I be?

Jealous? Perhaps... I'm born and raised in paradise so my answer would be very different from most.

Tell your friend to either find genetics that can cope with the rain and humidity or create an environment that can~

...and that would be why I'm asking you; because I believe only a true insider's advice can provide the necessary insight in this case.

Frankly, I think they're about to have a nasty collision with the reality of poor planning and inaccurate assumptions about life there.

More than majority of those I've met from the mainland are grossly misinformed about Hawaii and it depends what you mean by "inaccurate assumptions".

It's warm all year, there's a ridiculous supply of food from the forest to in and around the ocean and even along the sides of some roads. They could get a roof over their heads, food, and a small wage if they apply for some homestead work-trade deal which there is a lot of down here...

My apologies for the pointless chatter PSU~

I looked online vegan mix? it says 3-2-2 which from seed a 2-3-2 or a 1-3-2 would work little better
I've been told a 3-2-4 ratio works better for cannabis. Even all the way thru.
Npk values matters little in organics......plant takes what it needs & bacteria break down and supply== is all about maintaining a healthy SFW.

I'm coffee biased... I have family that grows coffee in Kona and that shit will get you right. I plan to grow some myself so I think that should be some fun. If I'm not mistaken most people grow the beans and sell them en masse to drying/packaging businesses, since I hear it takes some $$ to do it all yourself. Big money indeed and picking coffee beans for $10/per filled 5gal bucket sucks my friend!

Though they say the original "Kona Coffee" was actually coffee grown where I live (Puna) that was just packaged and labeled as Kona Coffee. Beats me.
