Dont smoke silver, u can eat it but dont smoke. Why cs it tho? Just pollinate and call it good. Fem seeds hav tendency herm so ide rather sift thru sexing my plants each run its not hard. Grow a female mother or a few and cline the shit out them...thats how u get infinite females. Fek doing it at the seeed level..go clone

Edit: duh u cant clone autos lol. My bad. Anyway I'm going give it a shot on my berry ryder see if i can get few free autos out of it

I have not had a problem with herms. I'll take fem seeds any day over regs.

IMO regs are a waste or dirt, waste of time, and a waste of space. I have grown reg autos. In fact I have 4-5 going now. It just sucks knowing I have to pull half of them. Still prefer fems all day any day.

I love knowing once a seed pops and it's transplanted it's GOING to produce bud.

Knowing how easy it is to make fems, and for $20 on top of that, I can't figure out why more people don't do it.


Last note - Fems have their place as well as regs in this world. Just prefer fems.

Did I tell you I prefer fems. LOL

This is incorrect. Fem seeds are no different than regular seeds. They are just female, not "feminized". Nothing is done to them to change them into females.

The colloidal silver sprayed on a female plant bonds to the copper molecules in he plant, and inhibits the production of ethylene, which is the hormone responsible for "telling" the plant to make calyxes/pistils instead of pollen sacs. Due to this, the plant only makes pollen sacs, BUT since it is a female (XX chromosomes), the pollen carries the X chromosome 100% of the time (female pollen). When used to pollinate a female flower, you ge the X from the pollen and the X from the ovum (egg cell), and you get a XX offspring (female).

A reason that fem seeds can seem like they tend to hermie, is due to people using poor breeding techniques, such as "Rodelization", which is leaving a plant to grow until it produces stamens/pollen sacs (a late hermie), and using it to pollinate another female, or possibly itself. In this case, the hermie gene is passed on, and if the plant was selfed, it is as if BOTH parents were hermies.

highlow pretty much established (in my mind) the fact that you can fem plants even to themselves and the resulting progeny will be predominantly female, very little instance of hermaphoditism (if any). it sounds like your just parroting stuff youve read around the forums, this guy has actually femenized a few plants and even plant to itself fems and grown out the progeny so the proof is in the pudding.

I'm about 30+ days plus behind you. Here is latest pic. I was trying something little different this time. Instead of LST or topping them and letting the plants grow out bushy as usual I decided to try and grow single stick cola style. Just one large main cola on each bud. I pruned off all side branches. Looks like working out so far. We'll see how it turns out.

Same here dude. Keep us, me and HighLowGrow on how that single cola thing is working. I'm lookin at my Cash Crop and 2 Fast that I did a little LST to and I'm thinkin (stoned of course) am I really helping this girl out holding these limbs down, they naturally shoot up to compete for the light. Lookin at the growth and they are shootin up now, they are about 40 days old. the Cash Crop is starting to flower. :weed:

Badass thread bud. Learned a lot bout autos reading all 16 pages. I love the purple of that berry rider. My first grow was purple chitral and bb so I've always loved purple and berry taste/smell. I've never grown autos indoors just some lowlife stuff outside when I was living in Alaska few years ago. Autos+alaska=fucking Synchronicity I've thougjt about trying a sog with autos cuz I dont like having mothers and clones and shit. Specially now with all the badass strains they have itd be worth it. Thank you again for taking the time to be so detailed and also ur buddies who followed along really made an entertaining and informative journal. Although I think the sour60 super nug was my fav after purp. That was a sexy nug. If the smoke is gg I may just try that cuz its short and sweet.
