fabric or plastic? I wait for the plastic to dry out plenty so the rootball contracts some. Crush the sidewalls of container, this will detach the roots from the inside. repotting 15 or 20 gal is a bitch.

No sir no drain holes whats so ever but what i do is do like 4 day feeding schedule day 1 feed 1/4 of soil volume day 2 same thing applies for water 1/4 volume day 3 foliage spray plants day 4 train and enjoy day 5 start all over

Again Thanks' everyone for your replies. I just ran my last seed of greenhouse SLH and it's a keeper but it's the heavy SSH pheno . I"m about to do a production run in 18lt square pots of coco and I'm trying to figure out my schedule for veg on a 11-12 week flowerer being sat dominate.

transplanting out of totes is rather easy let soil dry up soil tends to shrink lift 5 gallon tote up tap bottom place hand on top of soil stalk inbetween fingers tip plant upside down you tote comes right off or tip side ways and slowly shake tote off rather simple make a hole in next tote in comparison to soil add nutrients and water into hole plant in it cover and giver

growing in totes is by far the best way to grow not only do you have great results but you also have a much cleaner grow area

Hello there sorry to jump post can someone help please
n you help me please. 1st grow... 2 plants are 2 and a half weeks old. As you can see yellowing at the bottom... they were in a small pot with rubbish soil.. ive transplanted into these finishing pots with good soil ... growth will be a little slower due to bigger pot i know that. Just wondering are these healthy ? Small for 2 and a half weeks? Is it nitrogen difenecy "/

i use the .3 propagator air-pots to start them out in. if i let them get to that size, they have a very nice root ball developed and explode in growth for me when i up-pot to the 1-gallon air-pots. because of size limits, i have to put them to flower in a 3-gallon air-pot and am getting ready to use the 5-gallon air-pots for the first time. i used to up-pot them earlier, but keeping them in the smaller pots helps run my perpetual.

@New Age United in your experience, do you think an up-pot to a 2-gallon before the final up-pot to a 5-gallon would be worth it or, if i've got the vertical room, right to the 5-gallon? thank you.

Run off who needs run off feed your plants accordingly
Way i look at Run off is money wasted all you done is leached your soil with the the nutrients you fed them
here is also my next generation self made totes 50 gallon drums cut in half with air vents

Good Lord Darth, you must stay busy! I mix my soil in one of those 35 gallon totes.
How many gallons of soil do you get under each light? If you just had 1 light, would you still go that big?

Air-wells look really good. Yeah oxygen is a concern, but I like the idea of how clean your system can be. The air-wells take care of the O2 concern, just don't overwater right.. Grow big roots or don't grow!

used to grow lots of plants but since converting to totes i also lowered plant count and yields are the same with same veg times and TBH less work watering and caring of plant personally this is maximizing growth yield and man hrs the air stacks is for the compaction is to possibly help with compaction over time yes even with totes a person should break up top section of soil prior to watering there for it just does not run down the sides to bottom

Yes it might be a good idea but as long as you have good drainage it won't be a problem to go straight from 1g to 5g. The main concern would be that the plant is not going to drink enough water when you put it in the 5g but it's never been a problem for me, again as long as you have good drainage the soil should still dry out and you can still water frequently.

thanks. i just wanted another grower's opinion as i couldn't decide if it was just laziness making me think the up-pot to the 2-gallon wouldn't necessarily be necessary. the air-pots work really well as far as drainage and letting the girls dry out.

I start in 1 gallons. it takes 3 weeks to fill it pact with roots. then I go to a 5 usually. this time I went to a 7 and veged longer in the 7. but truly the way to go is sea of green hardly any veg time and you can get an extra 2 havest a year that way while ;ulling the same yields

Yes to be honest it really is just laziness on my part, at that point I still have as many as 12 plants so I just skip a pot and go right to the 5g and it's never been a problem, but yes it is a big leap and you might want to 2g in between.
