Modesto sucks too.
I don't blame you for wanting to move from Cali:-D
But Cali is a big place man. i'm from the Bay area. But now live up above Chico. I've lived in shitholes though. Salinas, Stockton. Just gotta find where you like it. It's cheap up here. Plenty of room too.

Yea, also Philly is noted for it's sights. I'm just trying to think of one. Oh yea, my favorite is the Rocky statue. Michelangelo's David has nothing on that piece of art. Also, I'll give you that broken bell and Independence Hall. In other words you can eat one of those greasy things called a steak sandwich (Shoe leather topped with Cheez Whiz, and better than Ex-Lax to make you want to shit) see all the sites, and be home by noon.

Just moved from Salinas last year. Looks like Disneyland next to the bad lands in north philly. This is late 90s philly at least. Last time I was there. But from what I hear it's no better
my boy allways told me we can't go there it's the bad lands lol and he would send a driver to pick up out there

Iron bound district. I go to Iberia, has like 5 pound lobsters @ like 8 bucks a pound. And the clams in green sauce of course!

Don't move to Grays Ferry...that's where the zoo is...in more ways than one...try to find a place in Manyunk...the rents are cheap and its easy to hop on the expressway and get into center city fast. Great views too of boathouse row and the art museum.
Best steaks are at Jims on 4th and South. Genos is good and Pats is good...only dif is Pats chops their meat and Genos doesn't. Both use the same cut of beef. Order a wiz wit and say it like that. Its cheese wiz and fried onions. Slammin.
Curiously both Genos and Pats are directly across the street from one another and both do boomin biz. They're located on 8th below Washington Ave
