Thanks, Dr, I'm quite excited to learn SCROGing and I think It'll be fun. I'm figuring this out as I go so any tips and tricks with a SCROG you've got, please say I saw on your grow you've pinched the branches a little bit to weaken them, I've also read about that before of course, but felt a bit worried to kill something. I might try it though my branches are quite thickThey are looking beautiful chained. So green and full. And nice to see the screen up bro .... itll fill in no time ..... cant wait to see your tent turn into a tropical forest

No worries bro ... and as far as crushing the stem, just squeeze it gently between your two fingers until you hear the cracking or crushing sound. The stem will simply bend over 90 degrees. Just support it that way under the screen strings or tie it down. If the outter layer of the stem breaks, dont worry. As long as its still attached, just tape it and itll healThanks, Dr, I'm quite excited to learn SCROGing and I think It'll be fun. Oh, thanks, yeah I was wondering about that - it's so dense under there. I also want to take some clones this week. The best of the three planta I want to take, say, four to six cuttings and hopefully make a bonsai mother... Which I'll take cuttings from for the very next grow I'll start to trim the odd leaf off now.No worries bro ... and as far as crushing the stem, just squeeze it gently between your two fingers until you hear the cracking or crushing sound. Also during veg and while training and filling the screen, defoliate under the screen slowly, a few fan leaves at a time from each girl. By the time you flip, it should be a green screen and bald underneath .... start from the lower most leaves and move up

Wow look at how bushy she looks .... thick stems and lots of smaller shoots ... really beautifulA couple of days ago I pruned some leaves down low. I was looking at it today and I don't really know how much I'm meant to take off. (The picture is taken after pruning...)
If I understand right, I'm meant to trim it back down there for circulation but it's also so when I flip them to 12/12 all the 'energy' will be put into growing the buds. That's going to be a couple of weeks away, so - is it better to just trim back dead stuff and keep photosynthesis going now if the leaves down low are healthy and green, or, keep pruning a little bit every day so that when I DO flip the girls it wont be as much of a shock, as in I wont have to suddenly cut away 40% of it's growth?
Thanks, green, I'm doing my best! It seems to be growing wellyeah man they look great! keep it up. I have yet to grow an haze, but I am itching to do it.
Thanks a lot, Dr, I've been lucky indeed. I love to pull up a stool and just admire it for a bit, ha ha. Internodes nice and close together with branches growing in every direction, I hope the current plant health is indicative of the end result...Wow look at how bushy she looks .... thick stems and lots of smaller shoots ... really beautiful

Thanks bro, and yeah it's a great sight and feeling. I think back only a month and look at the progress. It's growing so well, I think, and it feels like it took me months and months to get myself organized, set up and read up enough to start the grow then suddenly I have these awesome plants!A lovely sight, isnt it?! I love standing by the screen and watching it get greener every day .... you're doing a great job brother those girls look happy
What I usually do is let the branches grow up 3 inches or so, then I pull them down and redirect them to an adjacent square or the next one over!

The pay off will be when I'm rolling an unnecessarily large spliff of my own home grown!Don't ya love it when hard work pays off
Well done brother! ... actually nothing is wrong with the way you do it, as long as you dont hurt the shoots. You can keep doing what youre doing or wait longer. Spread the branches out and allow some smaller ones in the middle to come up. Defoliate any fan leaf blocking the light from a nice potential branch trying to reach the screen. Dont worry about the small and very low branches that probably wont make it to the screen by the time you flip. Actually, go ahead and clip those. As you noticed this plant is very resilient. But you dont want to shock her with too much manicuring in one day keep doing what your doing and soon youll taste the citrusy flowers which will put a goofy smile on your face and make you so dang chatty your fingers cant type fast enough lmfao (I just had myself a bow of LH) Its such a reward after a long and painfully productive day! Thanks bro, and yeah it's a great sight and feeling. I'm topping up the res/water with about 5L every second day now and with that I'm also having to add more nutrients, brining the PPM back up to the 900's. Before last week I hadn't been adding nutrients to the top up water, just plain RO water, but the plants are just so thirsty and hungry now! I can't imagine what the tent is going to drink when it's full of massive colas! The pH is sitting so stable, at 5.8~5.9, that I haven't had to adjust it since the last reservoir change five days ago. That's one of the things Im really stoked about, as when I started this I was adjusting the pH twice a day.
Three inches, okay yeah that makes sense. I've been a bit over eager and trying too soon, though no harm done. Also - I pinched a branch to bend it over, send it out sideways, like we spoke about... It's only a day or so on but i think it's okay! I'm starting to learn a bit more about what one can get away with - the plant is pretty resilient.
