I know someone who wants to start a legal medicinal cultivation in Arizona, but needs more specific information as to how to go about doing this. So far, as we understand it, its ok to grow up to 12 plants (6 in veg and 6 in flower) in a household per qualifying patient as long as: A) the house they live in is 25 miles "as the crow flies" away from the nearest medical marijuana dispensary; or B) the person cultivating is a registered caregiver of a patient(s) who lives 25 miles "as the crow flies" from the nearest medical marijuana dispensary. You can also cultivate in your dispensary but im not talking about someone who has the kind of money needed to start up and run a dispensary.
Easy enough, right? Well, sadly, its not quite that easy. Which is why help is needed. Does anyone have any clear answers to these questions, and would you please share any info with me that you can to help find a LEGAL way (according to state laws, at least) to do this and make a living off of it? Being rich isn't a concern, its more about a refusal to be forced into the lifestyle that doesn't let one sit down and rest and think about life, have a creative way to help people who need it, raise a family the way they want to, or work at a place they only slightly care for because it provides them with a paycheck.
1) Can the amount of plants allowed to be grown in the house "stack" with more patients living there? (if 1 patient can grow 12 plants, can 3 grow 36)
2) Each patient can only legally hold up to 2 1/2 ounces at a time, but when growing 12 plants its almost guaranteed that the patient will exceed this amount quickly. Does growing the plants have any effect on this number?
3) Can the patient sell his/her product to dispensaries in the same state? Are there any additional licenses required to do this?
4) Can the patient transport all of his/her product to be sold at once, or does this require some form of special license?
5) Cost of living is going to be an issue, so would someone even be able to make a stable living off of cultivating roughly 8-12 cannabis plants and selling the product dispensaries? (8-12 may increase over time, but I don't feel like its an issue after that many plants)
I appreciate any answers given,
HAPPY TOKING
