Ya they typically add a gene of from something else to "genetically" modify the host, wow. Come on, your grasping now lol. Spraying a plant with CS is not that. And how do they modify the genes? There are several ways.
But my point was genetically modifying plants started with seeds. That is where the manipulation began. It has come a long way since those days. But how do you think they modified genes in the begining? Do you know what it takes to modify a gene? Look it up...
"Ummm....fem seeds is pretty much the basic definition genetically modifying.... thats where it all started..."And for the record. I never once said that femmed seeds are gentically modified. What i have said is that they are poisoned. And "poisoning" is a manner of genetically modifying organisms over time.
Bullshit! Its not true re potency, they are the same as their mom so same potency just like a reg you get different pheno's. You all have to just stop this bro science. LolFrom my experience regular seeds produce more potent plants and the genetics seem to offer more keepers. From running lots of feminized seeds (always get freebies) they seem to be good but never great.
I have heard that femms if not done properly will throw out more pheno's though. As I am not a breeder I have no clue if this is true. If that is the case then yes possibly a reg may be a better choice for cloning and breeding. But thats it, thats as far as I think the difference goes lol. All this other talk is like the skittles commercial...."thats just crazy talk"! Lol.From my experience regular seeds produce more potent plants and the genetics seem to offer more keepers. WRONG! Again, how are they "genetically" modified? Where did the new genetic material come from to "modify" it?
Nowhere! No genetic modification!
You MUST "modify" the genetic material to get a GMO.
You know ,,, chromosomes - DNA ,,,, Oh, yeah! That's right, you DON'T!

Quote that please."Ummm....fem seeds is pretty much the basic definition genetically modifying.... thats where it all started..."
Ya you sure did say they were genetically modified lol.
Yup and femmed seeds are not one of the techniques. Stop googling shit you know nothing about and trying to use it to support a silly statement.Ahhhh.... no.
To get a patent on a GMO product you must "modify" a gene. The patent process accepts one method of modification and that is to extract a particular gene from one seed and insert it into another, which produces something else immediately, which makes it "intellectual property" that can be patented.
But, as I said, that is only one method of genetic modification. There are others, which do not produce instant results. They require time and generations of breeding. And it was that generational method that led to the idea that gene extraction and insertion was possible.
You need to do some reading on the subject.
I could care less whether you take my word on it or not. In fact, youd be stupid if you did. What a smart person would do is do some reading on the subject and learn.Yup and femmed seeds are not one of the techniques. Only morons like you believe what they want to believe simply because they want to believe it....
Or another translation:Stop googling shit you know nothing about and trying to use it to support a silly statement.
I would disagree, the fem's I have grown seem much more uniform, here's a good example my last grow I popped an entire pack of regular seeds (moonshine haze from rare dankness) out of 12 seeds only 4 were girls. Out of those 4 none were completely alike, 1 was short, 2 were really tall 1 was kinda tall but less tall than those 2 tall ones. The short one flowered the fastest, all 4 had different smells 1 was like haze 1 was like orange juice 1 was like tropical fruit punch and pine sol and the other was like cat piss. To me it was a really good selection since I had so many different phenotypes from the same parent stock I had a really good selection if I wanted to keep something.I have heard that femms if not done properly will throw out more pheno's though. As I am not a breeder I have no clue if this is true. If that is the case then yes possibly a reg may be a better choice for cloning and breeding. I think that S1's do show more pheno's but to say that regs are more potent in a blanket statement is IMO wrong. This is just a stupid argument! It went from what would you grow to ..... Fems are poison, genetically modified, herm more, etc. all of these statements are just wrong. Not saying you are spewing this but its just turned into a fiction filled thread.I would disagree, the fem's I have grown seem much more uniform, here's a good example my last grow I popped an entire pack of regular seeds (moonshine haze from rare dankness) out of 12 seeds only 4 were girls. Quote what? i did quote, but only to prove a quote, so what would you like me to quote now? Where you said femmed seeds are poisoned hahaha now thats funny stuff!Quote that please.
It comes from experience. Ive grown a lot and Im telling you what Ive seen. I never said I grew every strain of fem seeds from all breeders. Most fem seeds I bought were smaller than a normal seed.I don't know where this "stronger" statement comes from either?
The only real difference I've seen over the years is that S1's will yield better...
