I've heard the opposite from every single one of my people.. they all say the smoke in the shops is pretty weak. Weak high, smokes weak, tastes weak. Though they did enjoy the novelty of it all.
That said.. I know plenty of small time growers in CO who are growing very, very nice herb. That's everywhere though..
I was in CO a few months ago but didn't stop at a shop. Next time I will when I have a little more time.
Yeah. I had the same experience myself... That's anything commercialized, especially a plant. Of course a grower is going to put extra effort into their grow if its specifically for them or family. So its obvious in the buds I've seen for sale as to the ones I've grown, the dispensary bud of course is not going to have that untouched, personalized, perfectly cured bud that a grower is used to. Again not all business models are setup that way. I haven't been, but supposedly there are high end shops that provide real "top shop" nugs. For an extra cost of course...
Texas pride lol... Let me make myself clear. There are growers around Texas that'll make the whippersnappers in Colorado dispensaries fucking toes curl. There are also growers in Colorado who are fucking genuis... You know why? Because they are importing them left and right. Also, you see more and more states and cities decriminalizing or considering legalization. Colorado is the frontier. It's bringing issues to the surface that we've been ignoring for yearbasishin the pothead community (not just growers). It's hard to see (especially from some of your bigger time growers) as a grower, what the average lame man that refuses to grow because they have legal ramifications, may be dealing with on a day to day basis. Yeah if its bringing in all your income, and you're smoking some of the best personally grown bud in the world, its hard to see how much advancement the "community" has gone through...
My whole point was we need to do more for legalization. When it comes time to pull the plug on the black market, I hope my fellow Texans do the right thing. Keep your eyes on Oregon, Washington, CO etc.. Let's not just "wake up" after the fact, and be like "well that came fast!" Cause its not. Wasn't for CO... Let's make our state better. Maybe not the "best" like the falicy shit all Texans are taught as kids. Texas isn't always better... Haha sorry
