6 plants, 5 pounds?

I just finished my first grow. I used two Mars 700w lights and a DIY then I built from Cree CXA3070s. Though I got great results from my grow at about 27 ounces, I realized I could be doing much better. I am selling all my gear and want to set up the perfect system. How would I go about designing an indoor grow that yields about 5 pounds per six plants. How much space what I need, what growing style would you go about, equipment, how much lighting? I've got about 10 x 8 x6'8" that I could work with. The air conditioning also has to be portable or I could build a window unit into a wall. I would like to utilize CO2 as well. I'm ready to make this happen.

Good option ditching the mars, I just did the same thing.

For the price there OK

But if we start talking serious, its not up for the job.

I'd keep typing but theres not much to explain, i think you know what you have to do.

#1 Start off with 3 rooms

The first thing you have to do is find a strain that yields close to a lb per plant indoors, you can let it veg longer super crop it and all that but you still need a big yielder. I've never grown an indoor plant to much more than a qp so I don't know of any strains that will grow that big.

You can run a train wreck or a blue dream or some sort of sativa dominate strain those yields tend to be higher, but expect a 2 month veg period if your trying to get numbers like that. Lol an to be honest I doubt you'll get that without 2k per 6 plants. But I can see it being possible especially in a under current system. That might cut veg time down about half a month too. The uptake on that is pretty good.

with all that time vegging do you think 2 smaller crops could yield more in the same time frame?

Honestly if I got 3 pounds per harvest I wouldn't be complaining. As of right now I'm thinking of running six plants under four 600W DE air cooled reflectors. I need a short but high-yielding strain since I only have about 6'8" to work with

I run a 3 month cycle per room. That includes veg and flower period so over a period of a month I'd pull an entire crop more then what was suggested. An to be quite frank im hitting 4.5 to 5 lbs per 2k anyways. I run 9 to 12 plants per light depending on strain an what not as well.

You can pull 5 lbs with 2 1000 watt de gavitas. Or 3 regular1000 watts.. or 4 600s.. imo. One room is very inefficient though you need two ...A veg and a flowering room.. unless you go sog and cut out vegging..If you do that you can crop every 65 or so days.

Lol I can hit 5 lbs with 2 single ended bulbs. Probably more with the DE systems but not enough to make it worth it to change my entire system for de's. I have a buddy who is running 8 DE lights all 1k an we produce the same.

My question is what kind of system should I run to get those kind of numbers

If your gonna run 6 plants just use 1k system it doesn't matter if it's DE or not. I'd suggest just 1. An run t5's for veg so you have plenty of time of veg out the girls for a cycle then. Keep in mind I've been growing for 10 years easily. So don't expect to hit numbers like that until you fully understand nutrients an mediums. Took me awhile before I started hitter 2lb a light.

But IMO 1k for just 3 plants is a waste of time/money/effort. Unless you can hit the 2lb mark on just 3 plants. Which means you need like 10 gal pots for medium an a nice veg time.

I can do more than three. I can flower six plants at a time while having another six in veg. You think I will pull better numbers with the 1K instead of two 600s

No I know your numbers. But to achieve 5 lbs you need 2k at least but idk on the 600's never wasted my time with em only cause I'm running alot of plants. I'd personally say though stick with a 1k. But I've heard people hitting as high as 1.5 lbs per 600 which is a great grower, in that case I'd say go 600 as long as you can properly vent it.
