I got no idea, too scientific for me lol, only research I did about led was that the only ones worth using is the cob leds so that's what I got, suppose to be equal to 1200w hps but that is BS in my opinion
If you went over to the LED forum and told the folks there what kind of panel you have, I'm quite sure they'd be able to help you analyse and dissect its performance- and likely offer tips on how to get the most out of the unit.

I'm probably being a bit unfair to the led light because temps were high in tent for the first 4 weeks of grow so this obviously affected the plants, Ive checked the led forums out before I bought light, some good advice on there but mostly its about building ur own diy cree units which wasn't for me, just wanted quick and easy solution to heat.

Silly me. I thought buying Cree powered COBs WAS the quick and easy solution to heat vs PPfd problems!

Just tugging your chain, no worries lol

Seriously, I'm getting into them because I need the light intensity and I can't handle the additional heat load HID lighting would require to reach the same levels.

Chain or not ur 100% right about the Cree powered leds, its just I couldn't be arsed to build one myself lol- plenty of guides on how to this tho if ur the diy type, one of the best rated online cob led was called Super Helios Pro 6 but its £550 and I didn't want to chance it at that price so I bought a similar light for £260 called the dominator, maybe not as good but its a start.

my missus got that shit on, fck me they delve deep into the z list pool for this series, the pics are the same light which I got over about 7 plants, suppose to be a direct replacement for a 1200w hps and maybe it is if I had the temps right for first 1/2 of bloom

I'll let you fellas in on a lil secret- not that it was ever meant to be one to begin with; I'm not building my lights. I'm jobbing it out and it's being done to my specifications. The bloke who built them will get his chance to take a bow when the time comes. The design is a collaborative project and some features are really more for testing than series production.

Mainly, I just wanted enough of the damned things together in one spot to do some good head to head testing in what might be considered a model of a commercial facility setting; 96 chips running at 4800W should do the trick!

Don't these autos keep spitting white pistils until the death? I have never ever grown one or seen one to be fair. If you aren't desperate and its been flushed I'd leave it and water it another week. I don't really take much notice of trichome colour to be honest, I once left a clone only PYS until it had nearly 80% amber it looked bloody dead but it smoked just like the stuff chopped 10 days earlier?

I have left afghan strains to go well into amber and the pistils were all burnt orange just to get it 'sleepier' and chopped a sativa at nearly all clear which was absolutely cock on... I think a good stable strain is ready enough for some when its showing its first dead pistils, but it just gets better from that moment onward? People who chopped the old cheese clone only at 8 week were happy but i let it run 10 weeks, barneys Blue Cheese 11-12 weeks is a minimum in coco for me some people do it at 9 weeks in coco?

Give it a chop in a week and put a proper regular in next grow! I have some awesome clone only bluecheese cuts I could have donated to the cupboard of love but its not allowed :bigjoint:

Haha...cheers fella. I had read somewhere that the autos don't follow the regular trich colour progression so who knows. Cut a test bud off last week, quick dried it on the radiator and it was howling. Hay-smelling, headache inducing shit man. Still smoked it though! Hoping that was more to do with the quick-dry/no cure...
Gave her plain water last night, will give her more then chop at the end of the week methinks. Patience has run oot!
A wee cheese clone for the love-box would have been the business. Got a few bag-seeds in the box so hoping I'll get a female out of them. Onwards and upwards.

I like my bag seed growing for fun but its a nightmare when you do like 24 clones off a baggy female that turn out to be foookin crap man! Been there done that, felt like a proper numpty! I'd never risk it again if it was my only plant... Someone will get a wicked seed out of a bag one day!

My buddy heres for a beer and he always grew autos before I gave him a proper Blue Ched cut the sad man :hump: He says to get that flushed out with a good run off and lift it out of any standing water with 1" x 1" blocks or something in your tray, water it through everyday for a week removing the run off water every time. He said some auto strains have a distinctly funny smell and benefit from a right good flush? I do it anyways with all my coco grows ph 5.5, don't worry if its fades and yellows its ok at this stage. Keep your patience, its worth it and well done it looks bloody good

As a newbie of growing from seed need advice to whether this crit kush plant is worth growing or shall I just bin it? It has taken between 5-6 weeks to get to the 1st pic, over 11 days ago it was the 2nd pic and I didn't think it would grow because id already binned the other crit kush plant/abnormality but it seems to be fighting to live, my worry is that cos its been so long its gonna be a shit plant anyway now

At 5-6 weeks they could be flowered off.

I started seeds last Sunday, 10 days ago and only now do they need a few drops of water.

You know I like the roots in darkness? I'd change the pots for the next lot. Saturate the soil and leave it for a week. Min.

I would say thats an enviro problem as much as anything? Try taking her out of the 'clear' cup as she might be getting algae on her roots the soil looks a bit rough too imo ;) Seriously though just re-pot her in a small 1 litre mixture of proper seedling mix or even coco, make sure its got good drainage. Get a small fan on her if you don't already, air movement is the cheapest plant tonic you can provide, they love a bit of wind them girls... unless its under the doooovaaayyyy :bigjoint:

You will see a proper growth burst, she only looks a week 10 days from sprouting to me? Then you can bin it assuming its a grek...

Is there a bit of residue on the leaves like a pale dust? I can't really tell on my crap screen :eyesmoke:

Good stuff but don't feed with it!

I love that stuff! Haven't bought Seedmix for ages. Already buffered and ready to use! It's the best!

Btw, that soil in my pic was LIGHT MIX and I still flushed it first to weaken it.

Already started to convert to black pots for clones/seeds after ur good advice, just wondered if that last plant was worth the time in continuing to grow.
