Absolutely! Calcium Nitrate or calcinit is one of the main Yara products for farms and water treatment works...
Yep thats what I did... along with a good deal of other Uni dropouts round Ripon York Elvington etc, you'd after google us to see the villages but the lab at Pocklington is amazing, very nice
SPLENDID! You see, I'm considered an outlier for the unheard of practice of using commercial grade hydroponic nutrient salts instead of the ridiculous waterbottles at the hydro store.
Here's what I use;
Calcium nitrate from Yara Liva.
Monopotassium phosphate- MKP- from Haifa.
Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, aka epsom salt, from Wal-Mart, LOL Seriously!
5-11-26 plus micros, 'hi K' hydroponic mix from Chem-Gro, Hydro-gardens.com, right here in Colorado.
AND NOTHING ELSE.
See elsewhere in this forum for a thread about 'Bud Factor X'... and then read my little tirade about how people who are stupid about chemistry are the best customers for hydro stores.
