Sorry! Perlite is totally inert - it does not contain any nutrients. You should use just straight horticultural grade vermiculite. Most Perlite has nutes. Probably minor.
I agree.Sorry! Perlite is totally inert - it does not contain any nutrients.
1/2 inch or less depth, I think 3/4" is too deep.medium: 75% perlite 25% vermiculite

Sorry but the MG Perlite has nutes. And it is the brand most here can get. Read.Sorry! Perlite is totally inert - it does not contain any nutrients.
Odd. They have it Wal Mart in Alaska, New Mexico and Texas.I agree.
Vermiculite was near impossible for me to get where I am, I actually had to buy it in giant 8 cubic ft bags from a local vermiculite mining company . But hey it was only 10$
I drove to 2 Walmarts, 2 Home Depots, and a Lowe's. Came up dry everywhere, it became an epic quest to find a simple ingredient for my "Holy Fungi Farm" I was doing at the time. But because I have so much of it I use it for everything I can now lol.Odd. They have it Wal Mart in Alaska, New Mexico and Texas.
Holy shit. That is WHY I started using vermiculite in the first place. Now I germinate directly in wet vermiculite on a seedling heat mat and clone in it using just raw local honey as a dip. Labs Dexter went on so about honey this and honey that that I tried it. In 8 days - roots 1/4" long on one and started well on the 2nd. They were tests from a male destined for doom. Now I have a bunch of clones in straight vermiculite. Look on Amazon. It's light as hell and ships cheap if not free and a little goes a long way.I drove to 2 Walmarts, 2 Home Depots, and a Lowe's. I believe the key is to get it unpasteurized...I have had some success with honey as well, strangely (Possibly coincidental) local honey works better than the store bought variety that comes in the plastic bear lol.
Gotta say, I choked the toke because of that.^^ reminds me of the woman who wanted to take a milk bath and asked the milkman for extra milk to accommodate her needs, he asked if she wanted it Pasteurized and she said, "No, just past my tits will do fine"....
I like your style. I never even thought to use a leaf as a bandage, although I had an idea about using then for "budball caps" ...never bandages.Raw and unfiltered.Meaning not pasteurized according to Dexter. I like trying new stuff that sounds reasonable and this did. In fact I just "welded" a split where I placed a SCROG (late but it's not my own grow) and a branch did the splits. Instead of damaging it more I dropped a glob of honey on it, laid a small fan leaf over it (still attached) and left it. 2 days later it hardly drooped and just for a few hours when it did.
