Legalization Named A Priority in Canadian Throne Speech

https://www.civilized.life/canadian-throne-speech-and-cannabis-1492346580.html

Recognizing that Canada is fundamentally a safe and peaceful country, the government will continue to work to keep all Canadians safe while at the same time protecting our cherished rights and freedoms. To that end, the government will introduce legislation that will provide greater support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; that will get handguns and assault weapons off our streets; and that will legalize, regulate and restrict access to marijuana.

Well, it is the regulate and restrict part that is kinda iffy....

Arent they trying to restrict it now without effect? What is going to change? Will they restrict it less?

Justin has said several times the restriction is based solely on keeping it out of minors hands
Like how alcohol is "restricted"

Isnt it restricted from minors right now?
he feels that the way its been restricted by being illegal was not working
because it isnt regulated like tobacco or alcohol sales.

he said something along the linesof " what we've been doing hasnt been working, " and that his main concern is keeping it out of children /underage users hands/schools so he feels by legalising and regulating it in that aspect it will work

he wants to try legalising it for rec & medical i say do it. if you have to show ID to get your hands on it, im all for that
its sure as fuck better than illegal and having people being thrown in jail over it

It's very right wing..their way or the highway..no compromise.
the people of the canadian section theres 2 divides

you got the people who buy weed from the government controlled medical growers because they are disabled and actually need it
than you got the people who HATE those medical growers and want those patients to stop buying it who smoke/grow illegally

its the same arguments, every day.
we hate the mmrp , stop smoking/buying their weed, grow illegally smoke illegally
and than
no we dont want to cause were sick we need this medicine and we have families we want to do it legally.

and than they sit around arguing for about 12 hours of the day, and than it starts all over again

to the people who hate the MMRP the PM saying he wants some "restrictions" on medical marijuana it isnt enough for them, its all or nothing, they want completely legal they want NO regulations/restrictions. so to them the way the PM is legalizing it this isnt enough

there was actually like alot more important things he addressed during his speech marijuana was a small tiny line in it

JT is far more sensible than Harper was,
Harper was in his own little bubble no matter how much the country pleaded on issues of importance like the missing and murdered he would say NO and that was it
he would ignore his country's pleads on several subjects.

JT however is now looking to inquire about the missing and murdered, hes focused on several other issues canadians have been asking for
and he addressed just about every single one of them in the most important speech (the throne speech)
Hes got a lot on his plate and hes doing change to make canada happy again.

He really fully believes he has all intentions of making canadians happy within reason and while taking all sides into consideration to find a happy common middle ground.

Its refreshing actually.

Good luck sunni. The leader of Syria is a Shia type, Iran is Shia, and so is Obama's middle name "Hussein"
Looks like the odds are stacked up against you sunni
