Why do conservatives tend to hate rap?

That`s correct. Used to be that profanity, violence and drugs were forbidden in the music business, .. but then Black people had that changed and so the kids are buying it all up.

I will never appreciate Gangsta Rap,...it`s totally non talented trash to me, but others, ...not so much.

The hard part is getting it recorded by promoters, not everyone can print 1,000,000 CD`s at home in a week.
Yeah, thats exactly how people buy their music in 2015...

CD's.

Haters gunna hate. It's all good man. Neither one of us are offended by your assessment.
An opinion is not always hate ,..the guy got no interesting talent other than pronouns and violence. Next to sex, that will sell often to young kids with nowhere to go and nothing to do.

I`ll sit him behind my kit and then hand him my Bass, and then axe,...see4 talent to be authentic,...you must actually do it.

Every genre has someone that sucks and someone that rises above most and crosses genres. Good concert last night. Music with a message, should fit perfect in the politics section too. Eclectic should just be called open minded, its what it is. Conservatives not open minded? Who woulda thought.

You clearly don't listen to Jay-Z or the lyrics he produces.

It's fine to have an opinion about something so subjective. But when you continue to cast your opinion as if the subject is somehow upsetting you, you are hating. If that is not what you are doing, so be it, you ain't hatin'.

I recognize your distain for Jay-Z, however I think your opinions of him are unfounded and I do not agree with your assessment. Not much to debate on there.

I'm also a huge fan of NIN, Korn and Slipknot -- are these no talent hacks as well? They sing about fucking and violence too.

Or how about Frank Sinatra? Is he talentless? He was a womanizer. Elvis much?

I believe you are mistaken. I've hung out behind the scenes. Drugs have always been involved. Even in gospel. Lol.

People put their life in lyrics. Rap didn't start drugs and violence in music. Country, rock, metal all have violence and drugs in it.

I'm not going to argue this. You are prejudice and it shows.

So you got some back stage passes, and now you know the deal.

Listen, I been on the stage, behind the stage, built the stage, and got thrown off the stage.

What you fail to understand about my point is that what you do behind the stage is entertaining yourself, what you do on the stage/studio, is entertaining the public or private. The private has always been no holds barred.

There`s nothing to argue and prejudice can also work for you.

Insane Clown Posse.
Beastie Boys.
House of Pain.

Are you looking for groups? Or just white rappers in general?

Eminem

Vanilla Ice
MGK
Mac Miller
G-Eazy
Action Bronson
Aesop Rock
Paul Wall

I'm sure there are many others.

See, very small list, isn`t it ?

There`s a pipeline and along it are valves, you gotta get your music through them for it to be heard which is the other end of the pipeline.....otherwise you are limited to what you can do yourself.

Do I gotta learn you about,..."if the shoe fits" ?

The shoe can fit, but if you put it on the wrong foot,...you`re a moron.

Again, it`s not the self entertaining that`s the issue, it`s the sales. If you understand, then you know all about how you`re nothing without the somebody.

I`m basically saying that violence sells, Does that mean do it ? Break that train of thought down, you wont never find me. A kick ass concert, I`m too old now but I could be found in that train of thought.

No back stage passes. I was friends with a guy than ran a private recording studio. Got friends that have bluegrass and gospel bands. Help set up their gigs to.

Do you watch R rated movies? I'm sure you like Bruce Willis in the die hard movies. You like video games? Call of duty?

Unless you have a lock on your TV and only allow G and PG programming in your house, your argument is moot.

I already told you, there is nothing to argue, turn on a radio, you`ll hear the beeps and distorted,...You can`t say that today, violence and profanity,.... don`t sell.

That tells you about the artist and the consumers. It`s like a no brainer,.....

Music is and always will,...be one of those things we all understand, ....with and equal opportunity for all to sing , dance, and clap their hands, ................ Stevie Wonder.

It should never be about violence, profanity and things you just can`t stand........me.

You can fit my line in next to the first line in the groove.

I see the violence on TV in the Games and in the box offices,...I seen when it was not there before,...I know music has made a wrong turn but still moved forward.

I will elaborate a little more. You say that drugs and stuff are OK because its private backstage entertainment?

Its the same thing. Anyone there listening or buying the songs are making the private decision to listen to it.

I never see you speaking out against violence on TV and games which leads me to believe its not the violence in rap but the color of their skin.

Am I wrong? Do you allow violent movies and games in your house? Do you have parental controls on your TV and computers?

Music shouldn't be about violence? Music is an expression of one's life experience. That includes people that see violence.

Its not about clapping your hands and dancing. It is an expression.

I have nothing else to say about it.
