Yeah I've had some wash go rancid like on me before. I still used it but the finished serum didn't keep well. I've been re innoculating with the old serum for years now. Totally skip the rice wash part and have finished serum in 3-4 days. You just reminded me to get another batch rolling. Threw a wash out last week before it made the cut as it was putting off some rancid smells.
These should get you started. But remember the key players that I have focused on are yeast, photosynthetic bacteria and Lactobacillus. There are many more but it's hard to keep up with every one, So I just focus on the mains.i need to start some EM-1. i need to do some research on the anaerobic processes though. got any good references grandpa? like an intro to anaerobic reference... i'd like to read something solid (fundamentals) before i go off on my own research.
Excellent info man!!! Thanks for sharing the link.Hi Grandpa, great thread, how do you add the yeast and photosynthetic bacteria? I mean yeast is readily available, I've got some in my cupboard for baking, could that be used? I've made Gill & Pat's Lacto serum (I've made most their recipes, love the fish hydrolysate, quality, but killed 2 blenders pmsl), but believe that is solely lacto bacilli bacteria, isolated by adding the milk? I may very well be wrong in that, my memory ain't what it used to be.
Anyway here's a nice link I found with good info on EM1 & a recipe for EM5, which seems similar to gill & pat's immunity boost.

Thanks man, I have a totally new view and appreciation for this strain of auto. I'm not sure what she resembles tho.looks great man!
yeah thats just suggested time im sure you know. i never harvest until my eyes say to do soShe is 61 days from seed today. The info I've found on jet 47 says 10 weeks total.
Super cheese says 60-69 days
I've only seen maybe 5% of her calyx swollen and hairs receded. So she definitely takes after the jet more than the cheese. Buds are dense but it's all resin and no swell.
I might put her in a very cold room durring ripening and see if I can get some color out of her.

Thats just the way it sometimes plays stress or naeToday is a very sad day for me. ALL of my plants are boys. I'm going to take clones and flower them under cfls to get the pollen. I was really really hoping for at least 1 girl, but luck is not on my side this round.
It's most likely from the stress caused by the ozone when they were seedlings. I've never had all boys before, .... ever!
Here what they look like:
