The most outstanding sentence in the report "Studies that directly assess the effect of actual defensive use of guns have found CONSISENTLY lower injury ratios among gun using victims compared with victims who use other self-protection strategies

Fair is fair. You guys on the left use the "per capita" argument when it comes to black on black and white on white homicides. Why do I not get to use the per capita argument now?

Is it not fair to say that "per capita" we have fewer mass shootings and homicides than other countries?

Don't forget that 75% of their gun death statistic is suicides. When they say there were 30,000 gun deaths, 20,000 of them are suicides..

Easy killer. The picture is horrible, I'm not familiar with these guns, and some of them looked like bolt action.

I much prefer the AR platform for semi-auto, and when it comes to bolt action, I'm a fan of Sako, AI and Barrett. -- Yes I know, there are plenty of other bolt actions that may likely be better, like a Shillen barrell on a McMillan stock and a Surgeon bolt -- but I'm not just into accuracy at bench rest, I'm into sexy and rugged.

Anyway, side note, the new Ruger Precision 308 is dynamite at its current price point.

So in your "utopia" would you prohibit individual people from defending themselves?

If a person broke into your house, began taking your stuff and when you discovered them in the act of it, they commenced to use force against you, what would you do ?

Now that's pretty stupid. Someone needs to read the 2nd amendment.

Watch this video. Supporters of NO gun-free zones made some valuable points about cops' reaction to violence by staging a mock massacre, moving to another location in Austin, and then making note of how long it took the cops to get there. Caught it on local news last night. Pretty damn cool to see folks marching with rifles hung around their necks, broad daylight, staging a mock massacre complete with dead body images drawn with chalk.

This is so ironic because you tout Putin as some Presidential Archetype to look up to, while denigrating Obama as an "Imperial President" who "ignores the will of Congress" and passes "Executive Orders" that are "against the law" and give him "unlimited power." Were you familiar with Putin, you'd 1) Know that these two images are really fucking dumb, because that story about the FSB/GRU kidnapping someone and killing his family because he's a terrorist is false and 2) Putin has a rubber stamp legislature and is an Imperial President who not only does what he wants, but will order the government to openly assassinate political opponents. It's just laughable how little you know about the world around you.
