i found a sucrose soybean study posted by oxfordjournals.

The sucrose supplementation had positive effects on soybean growth but suppressed photosynthesis.

this is their finding with that study.

my instinct tells me suppressing photosynthesis is something you'd want to avoid at all costs.

also, there are no studies for non-cereal plants (what marijuana is). all of the stem injection studies so far seem to have been done on cereal plants according to the oxford journal.

so basically, this has not been researched. it might work, it might not. how can we know if research studies haven't been posted? if you want to inject your cannabis plants with random amounts of chemicals then by all means do it. so many problems with this though...like the control plants being a different phenotype than the subjects thus growing differently due to that variable alone. i really don't see how you would test this on marijuana.

I was thinking this over while watching this thread progress.While I agree with @whitebb2727 that it is a plausible technique,its probably only useful for very specialized and short term treatments.I think the plants response to the stress of the needle( knotting up,becoming more fiberous,etc) would occupy alot of its time better spent elsewhere,doing other things.Furthermore,isnt the limiting factor here the efficiency of the plants photosynthesis cycle(surface area of leaves,etc)not how much nutrients you can force into a plant?Thats just my take on it.

i account for this ......the plants are running me about 90 bucks in seeds/soil/power/feed per plant
so for my oz price i times that by 3
1 time to recover what i spent
2 times to double up for the next grow
3 times for my trouble and effort
so that is 270 a oz ......round to 300 for a even number

with the led lights now i am avg 4-6 oz per plant (hid i was getting more but not as dense as the LED)
