You Americans get the best prizes!

I think in Canada 30 mil is considered a huuuuuge win.

Nope.
The tax bracket would be 39.6%, don't ask why I know that.
You can get an annuity paid over 20 years or take the cash value.
I know someone that was on a popular game show and won almost 20grand and by the time he came home it was with 8grand in his pocket. And a form to apply to get most of the difference back eventually.
Rules n crap might have changed idk I'm Canadian lol

Bitches I be straight with 30 million. I usually get powerball and mega million tickets good for 10 draws each. Costs like $30 for 5 weeks of tickets. It's a dream. But heck. Can't win it if you ain't in it! I'll hook some of y'all up with a big ole fat steak dinner if I win!

@ZaraBeth420

I did not read this thread except a post that had my name in it. You seem to be a bright and shiny star and I want to hitch my wagon to it.
I want to hear about you, maybe read your newsletter. Maybe you should post some memes to help me understand you.

I want your being to wash over me like a warm wave of Molson Canadian.
Well, I don't know...I'm more like Canadian Club...very boring.

It is counted as income. The more you make the more you pay. If you make more than around $400k a year then you are in the top bracket and pay 39.6%

The most they could take is the taxes for the top bracket which for $20k extra would be close to $8k. Then he could refile and get back the difference if he was not in the top bracket.
