I just cut off a few of the popcorny buds towards the middle of stem on smaller bud sites and quick dried in oven. Made about 6 hits and lemme tell ya, i'm friggin' stoned dude. It didn't taste bad at all either. Obviously I wanna harvest now but should I wait another week? I'm just happy right now that I'm this stoned off of that. Cant wait til its cured.

Its up to you, I'd wait till the weekend.. just use plain water for the next few days.. and on the last day like thursday let it finish 12hrs dark then harvest friday morning.

I just hate early harvest bud, the high doesn't last as long.. If its done I'll try to go at least another week.

okay i'll do that. I just cut off three little bud sites that havent been growing at all. Do you think that'll affect the plant in some way until then? And what about the tiny trichome covered leaves? If i trim those off of the stems there wont be much to smoke. i got high off it so Is it cool to just leave that on the bud?

nah, it wont hurt it much, next time trim the lower sites so you dont have popcorn later..

leave the sugar leaves on, its not like you're making it all nice for sale.. every little bit helps.

harvest time is just a suggestion.. but its your first grow!.. Enjoy it!, dont sweat the details too much.. :) Hopefully this will become a lifelong obsession. :)

Your lucky you have a fast finishing strain I'm almost 11 weeks into flower and I'm only at like 20% brown hairs.

for what you had to grow with those are looking really good!!! If you want any help / pricing out on a good starter set up let me know your budget and grow space availability and I can recommend a few things. I'm just getting my newest grow / set up going at the moment and this has been the first time in my life i have the extra funds / legality / and grow space to really invest in the en devour. That just might mean you have better bud. I do prefer indica so that's good I guess. I'm not gonna harvest til the weekend, maybe later. The test nugs I smoked were pretty good too. Tempted to cut another one off lol.

No problem, I"m here to help. It will be new to me, I havent done a microgrow with c99.

Did you ever clone your last plant?.. Could do another run with that.

In case anybody is wondering how my test nug was, here is an update. I tried every type of quick drying a test nug there is and by far the best one that I smoked was the one I let air dry for a day and a half (while I was trying other quick dry methods on smaller popcorn) and the put in a jar with silica packets on and off for the other half of the second day. Kept taking it out and air drying here and there. Hardly any trace of chlorophyll. Maybe none really. The taste and quality was pretty damn good, and I wasn't that "placebo high from choking on harshness" either. Damn that was good. Now I have to go dry while I wait for this good size nug to fully air dry and cure while I wait to harvest my big colas. Can't wait.

Btw dont even quick dry in an oven or in the microwave. Dont do the cfl drying thing either. Heat (even low) and air from the blow dryer on fresh nugs is so bad I've learned over the past couple days. I realize now that Im in for a long wait.
