According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, lead tends to accumulate in the roots of the plant. However excessive lead can leach its way into the plant tissue. By the time this happens tho, the plant will exhibit very noticeable symptoms of disease and deficiency and it would be obvious to anyone if what they were smoking/ingesting contained lead. It would look god awful and sickly. Diabolical is right though... buy your water people.

Iam in Flint....well just outside in Clio. Were on different water thank god. I have been watching this whole water debacle from the beginning. One cute little nurse at Hurley Hospital had too basically scream it until they would listen. They told her to get lost several times. If it wasnt for her this shit would of went on and on. I hope this costs the Governor his political career. He the one who appointed an Emergency Manager for Flint. And told him to start pulling the water from the nasty ass Flint River. This whole deal is fukt to say the least.

You know thats a good question....i dont think so. Shes still on the news. I think she is buddying up with Erin Brokovich people. This whole dealy is just snowballing. And the lawsuits are going to pile in. Another thing is they actually raised the water rates at the same time. Used to be like 40$ every couple months. Now its like 120$ a month. For poisoned water!!! Thats what got people all fired up to begin with. With protesters at City Hall holding up glasses of brown funky water. This was WAY before the recent lead issues. No one knew. All they knew was the water tasted like a swamp, was brown, and made people break out in a rash and other things. The city basically said fuk off. And it took a judge to settle it all. This was awhile back. I myself went to several friends grows in town with my Bluelab. Ppm was always 110 consistently. When they switched to flint river from the detroit pipeline it jumped to over 250. I just figured it was more chloramine and other chemicals. Had no clue it was fukin LEAD.

Whoa, I guess it pays to do your own water quality testing.
When we had 80,000 acres of forest burn in the watershed of the Cache la Poudre river, they had samples and water quality analyses done on the set on live television. Amazingly, dissolved solids never went over .1EC, which is less than half of most bottled water!
It tasted like burnt wood, but the carbon in the water acted as a purifier and we didn't have a fish kill event. Grew some fine plants, too!

What is really bothering me on a grand scale and a matter of principle is i live in the Great Lakes State. The largest fresh bodies of water IN THE WORLD. No city, town, or whatever should have any problems with water. Clean (relatively speaking) water is everywhere here. This shit is ridiculous. Shouldnt even be a question. Should have super clean water and inexpensive to purchase. You would think anyways.This is what happens when money power and especially politics get involved....babies sick at the hospital with lead poisoning.

I live in flint but not on flint water. Well not for long im about to buy a house in flint. Honestly i dont want a house in flint but i have no options. Wouldnt i be able to use them pur filters? Im debating on getting this filter thing that uses uv rays to filter it, but cost $700 for the system almost 2 grand with water softener, and bacteria and virus removal. Would i be able to use a pur filter to water the plants?

Now I might not have liked our last Gov. (democrat) Grandholm much either ("bad drivers tax" and increased prison spending) But I tell you frick'in what. SHE would have been announcing on national TV that we need help and we need it NOW right on day 2 after it was found out! On day 3 SHE would have PERSONALLY been standing at a table handing out filters and water herself!
We have one of the most corrupt states in the country and the politics is a joke too!
