My plants are a week and 4 days old now and I've noticed the cotyledons have started turning yellow and slowed down in growth, just moved the 400w mh down to 3 foot, is that still too high? Should I start giving them a small amount of nutes?

Also what is the most preferred root enhancement for young seedlings, heard a lot about H&G and voodoo juice, have no idea whats best. Any advice?

I'm growing I straight coco. And my seedlings were the same way until I started a very light feeding. IMG_20160127_143652.jpgThis was three days ago before feedingIMG_20160130_093413.jpg today

cotyledones always go yellow dont they.yes they need fertilizer when 1st sets of true leaves are there(in hydro),but on your 2nd pic it looks like there is already a bit too much nutes. what strain? my acapulco gold started out slow as fuck too.

Once every 3 days soaked until a little runoff. I also have another seedling planted a few days afterwards because the last one didn't pop the soil. Would this be too sensitive for the light? Yeah just coco and perlite. Thanks

I don't know that's why I was asking... I haven't given them any nutes yet. They're Royal AK fem from Royal Queen Seeds.

I would give them a feeding. 1/4 of what is recommended. Remember to follow the hydro feeding chart. I would put the little plant under the light as well.

What are your temps and humidy at. Also you can mist them plants.
Temp is around 20-22c humidity is around 40-50% I read somewhere spraying them is only for clones, to develop their roots. No need for seedlings. I'll give them a feeding once the soil drys out. I'm using Canna A+B.

You can mist plants at any stage of life, it's not just for clones. Those leaves usually always die and fall off, I wouldn't worry too much about it the rest of your plant looks fine.

I have a buddy been growing for 25 years in coco. He gives me advice and it has been very helpful. Spray them seedlings they will love you for it. Your temp and humidity are good. You want the humidity high during veg.

I'm not a coco grower but I wouldn't be worried. Cannabis stalls at times. During those time the roots are growing. After a stall they hit a growth spurt.

Nutes are not needed until cotyledons shrival and fall off.

Most my seedlings have stalled a bit at that stage.

Your temp is a little off. I would aim for 24~26. Higher temps accelerate growth a little in this stage.

What's your pH? I think it's time to start feeding at a very low EC. I always start @ about 0.3 to see how they like it. If you're using tap water with a high salt content, then be careful and always store water for 24 hours before use.

around 5-8 - 6.0 pH our tap water has an ec of 0.2

Another thing, Is Canna A+B worth using. The guidelines for it state to use both part's throughout the entire cycle. Different ratios like 1-1-1 for veg and 1-3-2 for flower would be more beneficial.

Is canna a+b a general nutrient, or is there a nutrient thats more suited for both stages of life. I'm starting to doubt cannas formula. Am I perfectly fine using it?
