The water is dirty, no doubt about it. But how toxic? I've seen water tests with low lead levels at intermittent times in isolated areas. I'm assuming they have no idea where and why the lead is leaching into the drinking water nor do they have a plan to address it yet. Of the competent scientific, medical and engineering concern that is.
As for the politics, it was actually the City of Flint that made the water switch plans correct? It was the city's Emergency Manager (Synder appointee) whom fast tract their bad idea via the authority given him thru a poorly written Emergency Manager law (MI Congress) given the fact that the city had bankrupt itself correct? Seems there is a bunch of political blame to spread around Flint and the State IMHO.
So what's the appropriate response for the President, his EPA and our federal government now in your opinion. Surely dropping into Detroit for the Auto Show last month and not stopping in for a look himself is bad political optics. Or is it that he does not believe the problem is actually that bad
