Who is talking about austerity, when we have government waste that is in the trillions, and outdated programs that need to be updated... I think we can all agree people are living longer which requires social security age to be increased that is basic stuff... The procurement system in the military, etc... We don't even really need to cut things we just need efficiency. Simply, stop expanding inefficient and outdated government programs... You think the IT systems the government is running are outdated?
You are talking about austerity, you just try your best to call it something else. Instead of weasel words, try solutions.

United States has only declared war 11 times out of 300+ major military campaigns... Last declaration of war was in 1942. The declaration of war gives the president extended powers, and nothing has been ruled by the supreme court that would say policing actions or intervention is considered war...

This makes no sense, and doesn't counter what I said about silo job functions concerning union contracts which define work functions and responsibility that don't allow interdepartmental collaboration to occur. When employees can't apply experience across multiple disciplines to different functions within the company then it is obvious innovation is stifled...

It isn't about winning or losing... The constitution states "To declare War" oppose to "To make war" which could be interpreted as the president has the ability to start hostilities without the declaration of war as well as the president has the ability to conduct policing actions, regardless other foreign policy still falls under the executive branch excluding trade acts which would become law of the land. The president whether you like it or not can squeeze foreign nations without approval from congress coming full circle to the point about how much power the president holds when dealing with foreign relations including extorting foreign nations to build walls. I believe the gulf of tonkin incident is a perfect example of what measures a president can take without congressional approval... The supreme court has yet to rule on the interpretation...

I didn't change or make the interpretation of the constitution it is what has happened... It has occurred under both democrat and republican presidents... Plus you have to understand Neo Conservatives began with Dixie democrats invading the republican party.....

You have to understand am not a "neo conservative"...

Harry Truman a democrat was the first one to by pass the constitution without a formal declaration of war when we went to war in Korea which began a slippery slope....

Union workers in the same location all don't make the same pay.
Work functions are defined because if they weren't nothing would stop a company from hiring people as lower paid fork truck drivers and using them in the role of higher paid machinists

BOTH of my folks majored, mastered and taught English before moving on to careers that require a complete command of the subtleties of the language.

What you posted up there was management speak, confusing to someone actually trying to get something done and speaks to a corporate culture inimical to new ideas. It's places like those that innovative people like me LEAVE so we can be left the fuck alone by idiots in management spewing bullshit like that!

I'd suggest an entirely different way of running a company but I doubt you'd be open to it.

Silo job functions are there so management can make sure no one knows too much about the company process. That's because they're terrified of the idea that workers at places like these might have better ideas than they do.

Our country is going down the tubes exactly because of 40+ years of this kind of thinking. I don't want more of the same, warmed over stupidity that got us here, I want change. The REAL THING, not merely a slick media campaign.
