I don't know enough about the laws there to comment on relative reasonableness. It just seemed to me that putting elderly (especially, but really anyone) people in jail over the husbandry of A HARMLESS PLANT is wrong.Idk. I do and I don't. I think it's enough that we are allowed to grow weed legally at home for personal use. They don't clarify how much 'personal' actually means.
However if they are working on that scale, it's quite obvious that they are trying to make money, they have to face the repercussions. Do the crime do the time so to speak.
If it had been 100 plants and not 950 it wouldn't even be in the newspaper. They would've got away with it. So in other words, they knew what they were doing. Personally I think the decrim situation here works really well, if you don't take liberties.
Wrong in this case is defined as a wrong by the state against its own people.
