My question was sarcastic. We had a surplus due to accounting tricks. The DEBT grew under Clinton every year.

I was pointing out that the politicians were lying to us. Sure, it appears that there was a surplus because we were stealing from social security year after year. However, you cant take money out of one pocket and put it in another pocket and claim you just made income.

So, go look at the debt and then tell me with a straight face that there was actually a surplus.

      "Here's what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud," Romney said.

      "His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University," he continued. "He's playing the American public for suckers. He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is a lousy hat."

I personally blame bottle feeding over breast that was all the rage 40's, 50's and to mid 60's. You men didn't get enough of mommy..

this was when the bulk of the authoritarian (now in charge) fondly remembers..those of authority..mom, dad, teacher, principal, crossing guard, policeman, mailman, military etc. ALWAYS made things better when life went awry..and it is to this memory, they cling..but in the millennium, dangerous, basing a place we can NEVER return no matter who is in charge..childhood.

If you are saying that Trump should not promise tax cuts because they would double the deficit and add 1T to the debt over 10 years, then we are in agreement.

Obama is not an authoritarian.

During the period you describe when bottle feeding was supplanting breast feeding and conservatives were using that argument as a reason to keep women form joining the work force, there was a saying "my country right or wrong". That's authoritarian.

An authoritarian style is being used when a leader dictates policies and procedures, decides what goals are to be achieved, and directs and controls all activities without any meaningful participation by the subordinates.

And do please keep your shirt on.

In February, according to the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nation’s civilian noninstitutional population, consisting of all people 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 252,577,000. Of those, 158,890,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.

If you and Hillary think people are landing good jobs, and the economy is doing well; she will lose the election
