That is an opinion piece, not data. Driving deaths have been going down every year for a few decades now, the result of many disparate reasons.

I do live in a neighborhood, in a Ward, in a City in a State in a Country. We don`t fear the police, They know better than to use those strategy or tactics.

Traffic fatalities have been on a downward trend since the 70's. Partly due to a decrease in drunk driving, partly due to increase in vehicle safety, partly due to an increase in traffic control engineering and partly due to an increase in public appreciation for the dangers of driving. Looking a one state, in one year, of an overall trend is disingenuous at best, or at worst outright manipulation. It's the same bullshit the NRA tried to pull saying that Australia had a massive increase in violent crimes after banning guns. They used on city over one year, outright manipulation, just like your theory.

I don't think you realize how precarious the legalization movement still is right now. One high profile accident where a driver only on cannabis plows into a rich white family with young kids or something could potentially push back the whole movement.

Driving is a privilege, not a right. So go ahead and drive around impaired. Then you can come back in here bitching about the mean old cops who arrested you for driving impaired, sans several thousand dollars.

It's this type of narcissistic selfishness that still holds back the legalization movement.

You put forward the notion that cannabis legalization in CO has led to lower traffic fatalities because of lowered drunk driving, with alcohol replacing cannabis.

I showed you with data, that a one state, one year study is not indicative of traffic fatalities in general. I showed you that in a decidedly anti-cannabis state (MO) traffic fatalities have still gone down. I also showed you that countrywide, traffic fatalities have consistently gone down for 3+ decades. I gave reasons why such a downturn could happen.

You respond with a weak retort / attack on my character. Instead of trying to reinforce your view with facts, you bowed out and quit.

That is the type of intellectual dishonesty you find in bigots. When presented with something that challenges their world view, they contract and deny. And that close-minded mentality that doesn't allow for change? That's the same type of personality traits found in racists and homophobes. So congrats, you have become what you hate.

I'm glad that where you're from you can pick up the phone and call police, I on the other hand come from a neighborhood where folks think long and hard when calling police, you worry if your going to be a victim of the badge.
