The issue of lawful use of forceWhile we might share a bowl, we would argue over this issue I'm afraid.
We have no police accountability left in America. Our civil rights have also taken the same exit. Until the one is addressed we will never have the other.I see. But they never said that he brandished a weapon, just that he was reaching for one that he legal possessed. Some say he was reaching for a wound after being shot though. Did you see a weapon in the video?
Regardless opening fire on the vehicle was unlawful use of force and endangered the lives of innocent children IMHO. You do agree with that right? Why were lawful commands not being broadcast over the patrol vehicles PA systems during the entire event. I know a little bit about law enforcement and that was not it. I know a little about warfare as well and that looked more like an ambush to me.
If paranoia of police and/or our government justifies the use of deadly force, what chance do our mentally ill have against the agents willing to kill them and lawyers willing to defend that ...
Video resolution would prohibit any positive conclusion. But he did indeed have a gun and was reaching in that general direction and was acting crazy as hell. That anyone could see, and it's simply more evidenced by the cell phone video. He endangered the occupants of the vehicle.Did you see a weapon in the video?

He ran out of the vehicle screaming "shoot me!" What does a PA public service announcement do when he's running around like a crack head? Why were lawful commands not being broadcast over the patrol vehicles PA systems during the entire event. I cannot agree with that portrayal. That is not what happened at all. This is not a result of police paranoia. That's a shocking assertion, IMHO. This man made it clear this was exactly how this was going to go down. He ensured this happened. He caused this entirely. If paranoia of police and/or our government justifies the use of deadly force, what chance do our mentally ill have against the agents willing to kill them and lawyers willing to defend that ...
When our military rolled into Panama to take Noriega (per international law), we did so with PA systems attached to our vehicles and bayonets attached to our weapons. We had clear rules of engagement that day (per political lawyers) and shooting some fool running around with his hands in the air yelling "shoot me" was not one. No less would that justify shooting (use of deadly force) toward the children in his vehicle and/or allow for leaving him unattended to die ...He ran out of the vehicle screaming "shoot me!" What does a PA public service announcement do when he's running around like a crack head?
You are correctWhile we might share a bowl, we would argue over this issue I'm afraid.
IMHO that quite trivializes the scenario. Heavily armed criminals pulling weapons demands that exact response.... and shooting some fool running around with his hands in the air yelling "shoot me" was not one.
Did you see one weapon (non LEO) in that video or hear anyone threaten or plan to shoot anyone (other than LEO) Or did you hear people worried/frightened about being shot and then being shot at without any discernible warning or direction?IMHO that quite trivializes the scenario. Heavily armed criminals pulling weapons demands that exact response.
The cell phone video clearly shows the cops shooting before he reached for the weapon, if that was what he was actually doing. The cops clearly did not follow protocol when they fired on a man with BOTH HANDS IN THE AIRVideo resolution would prohibit any positive conclusion. But he did indeed have a gun and was reaching in that general direction and was acting crazy as hell. That anyone could see, and it's simply more evidenced by the cell phone video. He endangered the occupants of the vehicle.
I do not agree with that.

I'm off topic but the ROE downrange is ridiculous. It's antiquated and only useful in a conventional war.I'm not trivializing anything here brother. My point is that as a soldier in a foreign land I could not act (lawfully use force) as those law enforcement agents did (on video) in this country serving a fucking civil warrant.
Because Dead Men don't talk...Why don't cops ever shoot people in the legs?
Have you or mr sunshine ever been shooting? hitting a moving target is difficult enough let alone a moving target the diameter of a 20oz pop bottle. thats why cops dont shoot in the leg or arm. they are taught and trained to shoot center mass. which also happens to be the largest targetBecause Dead Men don't talk...
you gonna cry some more over this white supremacist piece of trash getting the death he wanted?Where are the riots and Justice Department investigation? This man wasn't fleeing a robbery nor did he assault a police officer, yet he actually died from three shots to the back. Something is seriously wrong with this country ...
I run through several boxes a month...None the less. You never pull the trigger unless you have full intent to kill, Plus seriously dead men or women don't talk. No one to testify in court but the shooter.Have you or mr sunshine ever been shooting? hitting a moving target is difficult enough let alone a moving target the diameter of a 20oz pop bottle. thats why cops dont shoot in the leg or arm. they are taught and trained to shoot center mass. which also happens to be the largest target
