Organic soil fertilizers to bring out the full flavor of cannabis?

Volcanic rock dust is all I can get..................Shiiiiiiite.....................LOL, ok it's the only one I can buy, but I believe it's probably one of the best out of all the rock dust's touted.

I also believe in diversity though.....................would shale rock dust be any good? there is some loose shale rock at the bottom of a cliff in the nearby valley, it's quite easily ground down in a pestle and mortar and my meal worms like it as much as the volcanic dust, meal worms do seem to eat anything though, so I'm not sure that's anything to go by.
you use those mealworms in your mix man?
they are LOADED with chitin and a BUNCH of other shit too...
can't remember who I have talked to about this...
damn stoner memory
oh and I don't know about shale, if it's useful or not.
NOTHING wrong with volcanic rock dust
I made a thread about it a ways back, probably over a yr or two ago

regarding mealworms
ahh here we are.

Eventually and hopefully, but as frass, I think it may take a while though, in the mean time I buy frass for my chitin source because I can't source crabshell meal in any reasonable way other than driving to the coast and catching crab(or shipping from USA). The extra mealworms produced are for my mates chickens in return for him buying organic layers pellets as opposed to the cheaper regular option, in return I get organic chicken shit for the compost pile.

The meal worms shed their exoskeleton up to 11 times during their growth, all this get chewed up to tiny particles and some of it is processed through the digestive tracts of the meal worms themselves. I'm sure you already know, these 'shells' contain good amounts of both chitin and calcium.

I've only been growing organically for 2 years but out of the limited amendments I can source here in the UK, frass is one of the most easily available, affordable and IMO most beneficial I can get.

Edit...........all of my pots also get the beetles I keep as breeders after they die, but I figure they're real slow release fertilizers.

The amount of beneficial micro-organisms in there too!!!!!!

I've read them all, LOL, I was really struggling for a chitin source until I discovered it. I did find it in the hydro store though TBH and I think they were stunned when I bought it. Organics is not big here, it's all hydro in tents, for yield.

yea, it's basicly the same as shrimp meal, crab meal is a slower form of it
I don't use frass actually. I just like to crush the bugs up for the micros and chitin.
frass is redundant in my mix, not that it's bad, I just don't need much more nitrogen

So the main thing I want in the compost tea is bacteria? Is that correct? And they will convert the nutes into usable form?
You want to multiply beneficial bacteria and fungal hyphae already present in your worm castings and compost.
Check out Tim Wilson the microbe man he has tea recipes brew times how to build a uplifter style aact brewer. For real replication you need one. I do a tea once a month to Tim's specs

What? Bat guano is good but marinebird guano is bad? Doesn't make sense to me.
Seabird Guano is better than Bat Guano. Bat Guano leeches easily in its caves while seabird Guano doesn't so seabird Guano has a better trace mineral count than Bat. Gypsum is necessary in your soil mix to bring out the best of cannabis flavors. Sulfer from the Gypsum does a great deal for flavor. I use seabird and Bat guanos, worm castings, kelp, Alfalfa, Oyster Shell Flour and gypsum.

I do okay.

Nothing will bring out the flavor of your bud better than a good long cure!

I was adding greensand to my soil directly but I'm starting to run low now. It's a good amendment but it takes a year or more to see it actually working. I add it to my worm bin nowadays in hopes it will break down faster but I would add it if you have some on hand. Just don't expect to see results until it's been recycled a few times. Soft rock phosphate & other amendments are like this too but slow release is what organics is all about.
Do you feed any other amendments to your worm bin? I'm new to mine and I've got a few going to play around with!

to the op, ^^^this. Gypsum will supply you with sulfur, and calcium as well. Sulfur is what keeps the cation exchange flowing and imo is the determinate in why some people get browning crispy leaves in flower.
