Possible super male!!!

Hey everyone I'm needing some pointers I have a few plants in wanting to breed so iv been searching for a male capable of producing some amazing beans because the females I have are amazing and I don't want to wash out the hood genes .... So I narrowed it down to a male I have that came from AKGs bubba love I back crossed trying to pull more of the bubba kush pheno out and it worked the male I have looks smells and grows great but I also go some beans from a friend of the original DJ short blueberry well the one bean that was strong enough to
Make the cut was showing pistols in its late vegetative state so I assumed female until one week into flower the buds weren't really buds the were like pollen sac buds it didn't show bananas like a hermi would it developed pollen sacs so it was like half female half male and I thought a read somewhere that this was known as a super male is this true? Should I use it to breed? Or should I jut throw it out? Any information is much appreciated thanks

I never quite understood the theories behind "super males". Wouldn't you just be breeding this inter-sex trait in to the offspring? Because "it looked like a female and then grew sacks" doesn't sound like what I want in my beans...

I would think you would want to keep the male that was the strongest with the traits you want and the strongest female with the traits you want and use the true males and females to keep from carrying on a strong hermie gene.

I completely agree i never understood it either but think I have that plant just wanted to hear some input make sure I don't throw a gem away

I would only keep males that show long stalk bulbous trichome(on leaves near pods) when(or before) they begin to drop pollen.

I've flowered over 40 males(probably closer to 100) and only found 3 males that get sticky like a female.

Trich. rubs on these "super" males give you a good idea of what smell/flavor it should pass to the offspring.

That's my definition of a super-male, not some herm-prone genetics.

Sounds like a super shitty male, I wouldn't want those traits passed down, DJ's Blueberry is garbage now.. I grew out a 10 pack and no keepers, 2 of the females threw nuts 4 weeks into bloom

Where did you buy it from? If it was from a website, it might not actually be from DJ. It could just be someone breeding his genetics and selling the seeds. I bought blueberry seeds from him at the cup and they turned out great. And he told me that some of the strains you see on attitude under his name are not from him

I also bought them from the cup from him so I know they are real

It's not a super male it's a straight up hermie females that throw nanners are not full hermies. Sure DJ Short claims mostly male hermies are good but his shit throws nanners from the slightest bit of stress some think he's great I think he's far from a botany expert. I personally would not breed with it but if enjoy myths from DJ and Soma be my guest IMO they are both hacks from reading their books part of the reason I'm doing some breeding someone needs to do it and not these S1's and pollyhybrids.

I tossed it long ago bout to breed with a male from Crocket farms hells fire I had two packs of that and two packs of the crockets confidential and have narrowed it down to one beastly stud that when rubbed smells heavy of diesel and OG

I have a similar situation with a male god bud from bcbd. It is producing pollen sacks like normal but the other day I noticed 3 female hairs coming out one pod, and one more hair on a different pod. Anybody know what it it?

Never grew their skunk 1 ... Their Hollands hope is one of the greatest outdoor strains I've ever grown, she can take an absolute beatdown n produce top shelf... The DJ blueberry was a huge disappointment . their orange bud was very good, I ran it for 4 or 5 cycles.

in my experience most strain from jordan of the island with god in it will throw a few nanners, oh god almost always seed itself a bit but no biggy... I personally wont be using his gear from breeding anymore. the only plant from jordan that has never hermied whatsoever in my setup is chemo and I ve grown 3 packs over the years.
