Been a little busier than expected. Main changes in the tent today was planting 2 more seeds - Speed Seeds Auto Northern Lights and Speed Seeds Auto Blueberry, both in 12ltr smart pots (5ltr perlite, 7ltr BioBizz Light Mix in each), reversing the HPS and ceiling mounting the oscillating fan, freeing up and tidying the floor space. Also, less chance I'll accidentally water the fan that way!

Hello good people of rollitup!

Couple of photos for your eyeholes, taken during a little more training today. More tucking back than Ru Paul.

Maybe more photos later, day off so lots of time to play.

I would definitely try to get more out of her height wise. She's so small already making preflowers. I have one about the same stage making its flowers, different strain but nonetheless, and she's massive in comparison. Roughly 2 ft tall. Under cfl's only. But still looking beautiful. Healthier than before.

Yeah, I'm gonna do my best man. I reckon she might have been shocked into early pre-flowers, so I just gonna load her up with grow nutes and hold off on flowering nutes, so she concentrates all her energy into growing taller.

My prediction of a hermie dwarf may be on track.

I think one mistake I made with the airpots was having the soil level too low, as can be seen in the photos. Means there's restricted refracted light and airflow around the little ones. Rectified for future smart pots though!! Fingers crossed for the Speed Seeds coming good.

Question: What's the best direction to aim the ceiling mount fan to reduce temp? Its mounted at the end of the reflector. Directly at the hps bulb or pointing down to the canopy?

Thanks

Directly at the bulb. Otherwise you are directing heat toward canopy. Imo

Hi there!

About the covered temp gauge in your picture: It looks like it's about 35C (95F) in your tent. If that's right and your gauge is not broken, I think reducing temperature should be one of your top priorities!
I think (hope) it's a hygrometer. Good eye!

Just brought this bad boy out of the cupboard

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Heavy-Duty-Upright-Electric-Heater/dp/B000N2HDZK

Now sitting right up against the intake vents. So, now have three fans cooling the tent! 4" extraction, 9" desk fan (cooling the hps) and a 6" intake. Looking forward to seeing temps tonight when lights are back on.

One concern I have is positive pressure in the tent. Its fine right now, but wont be long before its stinking! We'll see how it goes. I also have a spare 12" oscillating fan hanging around, in case I get bored!

Good times

Please be mindful of the heat settings.

Joking aside, your plants will be super happy if you manage to lose about 10C and get into the low 20's. Especially if they are blooming.
Haha. Yeah, fingers crossed the temps will drop massively. Thinking of investing in a cool tube. I worry about the loss of light spread, but I'm not sure I've got the space for an air cooled diamond reflector.

I'm pretty sure I turned the heater off on it... Hmmm :D

Quick photo for today.

Actually forgot to switch the new fan on before leaving for work yesterday, like a tit. Been on all day today, temps around 25c. Happier with that, and plants seem happier too.

Really want to get a cool tube, just need to make sure i have the space. May have to pit it diagonally across the tent!

Day off tomorrow, so hopefully get a bit of time for some more involved updates, photos and training. She looks a bit messy right now!

Also, due a water tomorrow, been 4 days since feeding. I was gonna stagger feeds (feed-water-feed-water-etc). Is this best course of action, do we think, or should I feed every watering? May up dosage to a half dose from a quarter, see how they cope.

I'd give them feed, water, feed, water. Like u initially had planned to. That'll help flush out salts and keep lockout from happening. If they show deficiencies, then just up the dosage a bit till they respond.

Nice work Sick!

How is the healing process going? Does she still have her bandage on, or is she all healed up?
All healed man, right fat knuckle where she split. Bless her.

Fed her with 1/2 strength grow nutes today, and did some weird ass training. She's growing nicely, would be getting taller if I let her go. Shitty phone photo to follow.

PH meter arrived today, my tap water is running at 7.2. Still struggling a little with temps, redirected air vent so it's venting outside (ish), but the extract fan isn't meaty enough for me to remove the bodge-job intake fan just yet.

I know, I know. Don't ask.

Ugly as it is, its only temporary. Main cola is still tethered down, this temporary net is to level out all the other potential bud sites, and gently tuck leaves under. One bonus of planting too low down in an airpot!

Great job!
She's really starting to flower now. When are you gonna stop torturing her and let her grow buds? Hahaha
