The only person who said anything about peat based pots treated like soil is you. Most everything else is arguing issues new to the discussion or just plain invention. You're just one of many here that argues hoping the last post is all thats read. How about you too start a thread that asks the question "Is peat considered soil or soilless?" Same deal. ?all you have shown with this post is that you do not have any idea what you are speaking about. And that your reading comprehension is not commendable either.
if you knew anything about organics and the way the plants utilize real organic nutrients you would understand that this post is wrong. Maybe go read a bit on living soil. Also you can go through my threads and posts on here over the past 8 or so years and then get back to me as to whether my soil/media is shitty. Also if you are mixing organics so hot that you can flush out a majority of nutrient buildup and you're killing plants, you should probably just quit growing cuz you can't follow basic directions.
Yep I was speaking specifically about peat based mixes treated as soil I'm a grow setup. But saves reading comprehension is a bit lacking it seems.
Instead though, let us start over and maybe clear up the reading comprehension problem. You bounced in pronouncing soil to be better for the novice grower. Yes, your comparison was to hydro. It was not your hydro comparison I was responding to but your “better for the novice grower”. Why? because I think that peat is better for the novice...which is what I stated. Because YOU did not understand where I was coming from, YOU kept trying to pound home your hydro example while trying to convince me of the idiocy that peat is soil. Anyone who wishes to read our entire exchange and has more than a double digit IQ would see exactly this.
