Yeah I went a little Ball crazy. It's nice to work with just one male at time so I can get a feel for what traits he passes to the cross. So last year I did Spaceballs to all my females.

That would he hillarious. I broke down and bought a couple handguns and 12 guage shotgun after all the trouble we had the last couple seasons. Just in case things ever escalate too far.

Breeding has been a blast. So much to learn. I signed up for some agriculture classes at the local community college to hopefully improve my growing and breeding.

I made this cross two years ago and grew her last year. She turned out great and finished fast.

I didn't pre gerninate anything this year. Just straight into the soil.

I soaked one set of seeds in paper towels. Everything else has gone right into potting soil. Had great germination rates so far. I think the less my clumsy hands touch them, the better off they will be.

I hear you. I've got a steady hand but I'm just too likely to let the paper towel dry out because life gets busy. Sinking them in the soil is just easier and less chance for error, like you said.

Life has been pretty good, thanks I wish the same for you. I quit doing the paper towels myself...I kept breaking the damn tails off

I can't complain since I still have some full jars on the shelf. My only regret last season was not watering more because of the drought. I'm not holding back this season. With people watering landscape and golf courses, pools, etc... I can't feel guilty for watering my food and medicine crops.
