what!!!! at least you got out in front of the " I told'ya so!" bummer though it doesn't look random, driver maybe? guess it doesn't matter. hope you get it sorted out. if you lost faith, and can get a refund there is lots of other options out there.View attachment 3650655 Hey billy I have bad news. Luckily I just bought the k5's so the warranty should take care of a replacement after I starve the plants and have to pay prob 75$ to ship it back
Resinhound was right unfortunately
31 LEDs are burnt out as of 10 minutes ago when I left the room. Son of a fucking bitch
Nice man!! Thanks for the advice.run what you got, I might say you could round out that light set up with a cheap CMH, find one used, or one from home depot(be under out door lighting) the hydro ones are like 280 bucks + 40 reflector. towards the end of my kind led runs, I got two CMH cheap, they are only like 300 watts I felt like they helped, or maybe it was voodoo but I felt good about it lol.
but even with what you have, is more then enough to start growing/learning. that 1000 is 5x5 right, so you have a lot of light there.
Damn man soo sorry.View attachment 3650655 Hey billy I have bad news. Luckily I just bought the k5's so the warranty should take care of a replacement after I starve the plants and have to pay prob 75$ to ship it back

Gotta say your correct there. They draw like a little over 280w from the wall but for the price I am trying them. Your right its less than half. By the way im not into spending thousands to grow right now. Your right im jist a newbie but I do my homework.I have 2 kind k5's 2 Mars hydro 600's and 2 I power digital dimable 600 hps.
I preferred the LED and the Mars were way to small and under powered. Their actual is 50% less than the rated. A 600 that draws 240 watts compared to the Kind on the other hand is drawing 760 of the rated 1000.
Sorry to see your troubles. It's an all too common problem, that most of us here have experienced. I know that you want to get the best bang for your buck when it comes to buying a nice, efficient light to grow with. I have used all sorts of panels and the recommendations that you've been getting from people are solid recommendations for quality lights, with results that you can find in this very forum. I hope that you will take the time to read some threads here, or at least listen to the experienced advice that people are trying to give you. Take care and good luck!View attachment 3650655 Hey billy I have bad news. Damn maybe I should have went with Kind but guess time will tell. What's up bigsmo
Actually mars isnt that bad imo,you get what ypu pay for..they arent very efficient and the spread is horrible...but they are cheap.According to a lot of folks here they are loading weapons when myself and another mentioned kind LEDs. If they bash the kind I hate to see what they say about Mars
Do yourself a favor and look at one of the only grow lights thats UL listed, uses top of the line nichia diodes, custom made optics, top of the line meanwell drivers and built to last. It's tough with what you read on the Internet. Just say for instance resinhound worked for area51 and offered me free lights to post that pic. Didn't happen but it does. I went with kind cause I wanted 1/2 the bud I have seen it produce last run by a great friend. Yes it's a lot of cash but it's still a hell of a lot cheaper than some other brands out there. Then throw in all the cool shit along with the light. Sunrise sunset, remote, YouTube vids talking about the par levels, no need for venting all of it sold me.
I'm on edge now, I think many more will say get my money back than get a replacement. I guess if I change I need to think quick. I have 4 usable lights but they aren't ideal.
I'm not building a cob or spending 3000 on a single light. I'm also looking for a 1000 watt equivalent or close to. The area51's aren't even close to powerful enough. Also been hearing a lot of good with the cmh for flower and veg.
The warrenty wont help your plants...I started my grow with a 600 watt metal halide and the fucking ballast started melting the cord and smoking and fried the bulb etc . It's lucky someone was around . That was catching fire . So risk of malfunction is with anything you use . It's all about personal preference and what works for you . And Kind works for me . Until it lets me down I have no regrets. and the warranty adds comfort .
You can veg with anything...you havent even finished one grow and you are on here preaching about kind led..My plants are growing phenomenally with it . The proof is in the pics . They show amazing growth with strong thick stems and vertical as well as horizontal growth . Also the penetration through the canopy is remarkable as even lower growth is explosive so much so that I have to trim my plants every few days to contain them .
It will turn out to be shit, and ill be waiting to hear from you. That's why I have ordered multiple lights .
I have one kind and ordered another 3 1000 watt , I also have an 8 tube T5 and 2 600 watt hps if needed . If one needs to be repaired so be it . The yields I'll clear will pay for my lights after one to 2 grows . It works for me , having several lights helps also . I sincerely doubt they will all malfunction at once lol if they do I'll eat my words and admit it here until then I can't help but to defend the product that I'm using . If it turns out to be shit I'll be first to admit I made an error .
