Heard that a pink or red stem indicates overwatering. Can some people please confirm or deny this, shed some light?

Today was my watering day, but Ive seperated red/pink stems and havent watered them today.

Red stem usually means that theres temp fluctuation. Hot days vs cold nights. Or it could just be the genetics. Its not from overwatering.

Did it just sprout? If so I have seen this before at the bottom of the stem when it is the First 5 days of Vegging.

I'm an outdoor grower and my stems turn purple due to the drop in temp overnight, what are you conditions around the plants?
