Pink or Red stem = Overwatering ?

Heard that a pink or red stem indicates overwatering. Can some people please confirm or deny this, shed some light?

Today was my watering day, but Ive seperated red/pink stems and havent watered them today.

Red stem usually means that theres temp fluctuation. Hot days vs cold nights. Or it could just be the genetics. Its not from overwatering.

Did it just sprout? If so I have seen this before at the bottom of the stem when it is the First 5 days of Vegging.

Some of them have sprouted 2 weeks ago, but I stunted the shit out of them by burning so they are still small.

That is not normal, When you say burn them was it a Nute burn or from the lights?.

its the genetics,i got some fuckit plants goin and two ar dark red stems and the leaves are becoming red and pink and the other is greeeen as hell

yea man, it's only the stems of the fan leaves that are really purple on my plants, i have purple pre flowers also which should be interesting when they start to flower, they are bagseed so we'll see how they turn out

my plant which spent its first 4 weeks under sunlight has a green stem but the 3 nodes which have grown and the stem since putting in growroom under cfl's are redish

Light too close. 400 W MH first 2 feet, then I was like, these are drooping, they need more light lol, then 1 ft away. Now like 5 ft away.
