Oh really? From my understanding dry sift was basically ready instantly, basically like kief. I didn't realize it needed so much time after. The thing with dry sift is you need to slow dry your material at cold temps and low RH for a few weeks. Then cure at cold temps for a few months. So the waxy membranes dry up completely and do not oxidize. Other wise you will be lucky to get half melt.
When you make bubble. Imo fresh frozen material is better. You don't lose those mono terps. But you want your environment while making bubble to be cold as well. You don't need to dry your material in the same manner as you would for dry sift.
So I just had a harvest recently, should I bag up the trim and put it in the freezer now before it drys out? I've always used dried frozen material when making previous oils, like bho and qwiso, but I'm knew to solventless.
In your method on your thread, after you scope it out of the bags and you put it on the 25micro screen. Do you press it dry? I've heard this traps moisture inside, as well as damaging trich heads. Is this true?
Also you make yours into a fine powder using a microplane. Does this aid in the drying process? Similar to pressing does this damage the trich heads as well? Is damaging the trichome heads even a thing? Haha
Lastly, does it matter what form you leave it add the end? Whether you press it or roll it into a ball or press it with a pollen press. Ect.
Sorry I have so many questions, I know very little about this lol
