Lol..???...Maine? ??...ur further up than I am...my weather looks Purdy good for a bit..cold at nights....I literally just put some plants in 5 gal pots so now I'ma have trouble putting them up at nigjy
You are fine as far as light goes. Those nightly lows are a bitch though. I just picked a town at random, Sanford, and I see lots of 28, 29 and 30F nights for the coming week. My low for the next 10 days is 61F.pi
pine tree state
I went through it too. I topped everything and just waited for the days to get longer. Most everything seems to be growing out of it, or got ate by the deer.some bullshit ; i have march 20th seed starts tryng to flower already.... well past 13 hours of light; fucking cookies and all the indoor breeding obviously fucked with the photoperiod. i should be able to pop seeds march 20th without autoflowering EASY; im pissed

Here is one of my CP1's that looked like it was wanting to early flower. I topped it when I transplanted, and it has grown out of it.
You dont adjust your lighting cycle before you put them out?I'm running mine at 24/0 and when it's time to go outside I'm just going to put them in indirect sunlight for a couple days and then move them to direct sunlight. I put my males outside immediately after I assumed they were male to give them time to grow and show and not waste my grow room space and they didn't get stunted at all.
Me, not personally. They've been outside a few days now and they are loving it. No shock at allYou dont adjust your lighting cycle before you put them out?
Its not a shock thing. Its about the fact that when ur running 24 hour of light a day then u put them outside they will start trying to go into flower. Then the days get longer then they go back into veg...then back into flower in fall. It makes plants produce less quality and lower yields.Me, not personally. interesting; so the jump of 16 hours of light down to 14 + ( at the end of may) is ok ; simply because the light spectrum is still exceeding 14 hours of light?I go 16-8 for 2 months, then plant out side end of may,no problem never fails
I feel like slowly lowering light from 24/0 to 14 hours would be more likely to engage flowering than putting it out at 14 and then it noticing the days getting longer. This strain doesn't flower at 14. So that's why I myself am safe. Its not a shock thing. I have close to 15 hr of visable light now.end of may I have 16interesting; so the jump of 16 hours of light down to 14 + ( at the end of may) is ok ; simply because the light spectrum is still exceeding 14 hours of light?
sounds relieving ; i am trippn on putting em out at 14 00 mid may; from like 14 30 lol. guess i should be ok!
** or drop my light to 14 00 as well first... by your statement though it seems i would be ok.
IF my genetics are stable enough i hope!
damn dude way more light than me!I have close to 15 hr of visable light now.end of may I have 16
I started my plants under 14 on and 10 off...I eventually added 30 min cause balls came out on one plant but the rest are fine...they have been outside for weeks now and they haven't had any problem...I think if any light at all is out it helps prevent the "dark period"...cause indoor Growers are so crazy about not letting any light in at all so that pre morning light has to help...but I truly believe if u are running g 16 hrs on and put them out into 14 hrs they are gonna start to flower...try to keep your timer matching when the sun comes up and we it goes down...add time accordingly...that way you have no problems...My plants were the best iv ever started under the 14 on 10 off....I recently had a cal problem but that was my own fault...but matching the sun is the only way to go unless u know almost exactly when ur going to put them out and keep the timer adjusted to the amount of daylight for that particular day
I'm at 13h 22s/14h 13 m today here in NW Flrodia.I have close to 15 hr of visable light now.end of may I have 16
same..... after reading so many threads about nor cal season i guess i forgot i am not in nor cal lol.I'm at 13h 22s/14h 13 m today here in NW Flrodia.
I have always had trouble wrapping my mind around the fact the days are longer to the north. Your rate of increase in the spring {and decrease in the fall} is much greater than mine. I'm down to gaining just 1 minute 32 seconds a day.
Sanford Me {random city in Maine} is at 14h 10m/15h 13m and gaining 2m 32s a day.
So if it wasn't for the cold, you could go outside with your plants sooner than I could.
Mine peak at 17h 2 mins June 20thI have close to 15 hr of visable light now.end of may I have 16
