Exactly ti I third in line successor trustee. All laws different every state. Living trust then the Bi-Pass Trust to avoid bs & prying public eyes. I was required to take a class & hasn't even been 6 month in & I have a tremendous mental burden going on (some family members hate me now). I miss my peace of mind & more than likely going to remove myself from the position. I don't harder heart it takes for the job. Its taking the joy outa my life. Not good. Sorry Grandaddy

Great point. Being my mom's Trustee, plus having Powers of Attorney over her health and property, has put me in awkward positions with a few family members. I have no trouble saying no and honoring her wishes to the letter, but I don't relish this role. Plus, I have to keep up with the financial matters of bank accounts, taxes, paying dues, etc.. I would love to hand over the task to another, but there is no one else in the family that would handle it as competently as I do...

Thanks. She was proud, but now doesn't know exactly who I am (advanced Alzheimer's). If I had a real job I probably wouldn't be able to handle it, but since I grow for a living I have more time and resources than most people. Good luck to you and your family, too...

Along with, or in lieu of, a will, it is a great idea to form a Living Trust. This way, all assets belong to the trust, and the assets' owner (trustee) controls the trust. When the trustee dies, control of the trust is instantly transferred to a trusted appointee. The new trustee then doles out the Trust's assets to the heirs according to the provisions either in the Trust or the Will. This process happens privately, avoiding prying eyes, certain taxes and most importantly, probate court...

And THIS is how the zillionaires do it.

As I mentioned earlier, Prince held 3 consecutive concerts in Chicago back in 2012 and donated half the proceeds to our inner-city youth programs. That was the last time I got to see him. My buddy, Anthony, posted this video of September 25th, which is the concert I attended. He performed different tunes each night, with different outfit changes. There were about 30 amazing cell phone videos of those concerts that disappeared after a few days (of course), I'm hoping people will start to post them again. Check out this ending of the concert with Purple Rain, and watch him whip us into an absolute frenzy. I've never seen a performer so in control of an audience. He also gives a little philosophical speech on peace and love, and this guitar solo is truly inspiring...

Edit - We cheered so long and so loud that he came back and did 3 encores. After a 2 hour concert...
