Pressurized Closed column extraction

My stuff is fairly dry I just leave all my trim after my harvest in 5g buckets labeled and they have been collecting and so I decided to start blasting it granted I used to open blast before and get terrible yields, but with this product I'm please. You saw the product it is a really nice golden shatter I'm sure if be happier with a nicer yield but I was hoping to get at least 10% Honestly. I used a total of 5 cans of power 5x for my 2 runs 3 cans the first time and a can and a half or so on the second, which yielded me the over 16g total that's not fully purged yet. How many cans do you use And do you cure you're trim in jars of what do you mean?I don't know exactly how you guys do yours obviously but I use cured sugar leaf with popcorn buds that have only been cut once or twice to reduce size.
With this in was only able to get 65grams.
If you dry yours out completely, I would think you could get more. Don't know if you do that or not or use something I don't like dry ice.
I freeze my cans for sometimes a days or just an hour if I'm making on the fly. I don't freeze my chamber. Either way I pulled 12.4 grams from it so around 20%!
If I could get more in with same yield I'd like to know how please
And I use dry ice to cool my product I didn't a maybe 20 minute bath for the first run and 10 minute for the second and each one yielded the same color product for me.

I was wondering how many cans do you guys use for your 180g cc extractors? Mine I swear is weird.... I struggle to get like 1.5 cans in. I open the top valve a bit and let some pressure out and it helps let more in some how.
Don't know what's with that. Going to blast again soon and find out if it was maybe me packing too hard.

It's very touchy and hard but I found a gentle open and closing of the bottom while the top is closed when it stops taking butane and then adding more and sometimes I just leave the top open and the blast and seal it for a little and let that run give you some mind I've only done my two runs lol. I'm no expert

grind you material. blender, food processor, coffee grinder not to powder but to a much smaller size and presto you are fitting 150-180g no problems.but you may want to decrease contact time. and you are using REALLY COLD butane right?

Guys I'm not worried about my yields til I see some as good pictures from your guys 20% yields this stuff looks amazing and is super stable for a 14% yield on trim lol, I don't want to grind my stuff and my butane is always super cold it's I let it sit the longest in the dry ice.

This is the only picture I have but that is after a couple days purged. Still working on getting the Swiss cheese look. I need to spread mine thinner I guess.
I have done 3 extractions with this closed column so no expert either.
I would never grind my material. Less cuts is best. That being said I have never tried blending my material, as I have read many times over again not to.
To each their own, whatever works for you is the way to go!

This is also from marionberry kush, a purple plant that I find yields darker. I have some green crack I'm going to run next and will post my results!
I never purge higher than 106. I bought that heat mat that comes with the 5 gal vac chamber from bestvaluevacs when they had 20% off sale when I bought the extractor. I basically got the the heat mat free or for like 20 bucks I can't remember. Best heat source I've used so far, very stable and worked in my garage in the winter no porblem.

I'm using a seedling mat that gets about 95-105° after being on for a day to purge my oil and I have my oil thinner now that was just after I collected it by folding the sides in after 2 or 3 vacs it was super stable. My total now that I've weighed both runs together on my .01 scale and it weighed 17.8g from the 133g of material. Its a super blonde shatter and honestly for the yield I got I'm happy with how mine turned out.

I have a 5g vac chamber and 2 stage 7 cfm vac pump which I purge in I forgot to mention lol I use the mat as my heating source since I already had it Lol.

that looks fire sure it smokes great. yeah man no doubt filter both ends just in case burnout shit happens have fun blasting. did you soak at all or just blast?

are you pressurizing the tube ? if so that will decrease the amount of tane you can put in the tube I believe

I let the first one soak a little didn't take the time though, but the second wasn't cold enough because I ran out of dry ice but the butane was all below 20° when I blasted

Yea I draw a vac first. I know you use less but it's like half the amount in used before which I thought was crazy and aldo an unexpected savings every batch! Found another pic in my screenshot folder.

Here is a pic of my finished slab came out really nice and gold, I am gonna do a new run on some different material tonight or tomorrow and will post my yields and etc on that I plan to do a 3 minute soak this time unlike this batch which I didn't time lol.

So last night I ran 4 runs of about 80g of some grand daddy purple my friend grew which this one plant turned out very airy and looked premature or something that was harvested back in October so it was a little old. It came out fairly dark and I some how yielded what looks like a quarter oz to 12g from the 335g of material. Granted I had to dewax because there was material in the oil so that decreased my yield. I'm just bummed.. I'm gonna run a batch of the majority of the stuff I had to run and hope I get a good yield otherwise I don't know what I'm gonna do. Here's a pic of my lipids and etc from Dewaxing. I'll post a picture of the grand daddy purple oil when it's finished its stable but kinda sappy I'm gonna try and purge it out to shatter. I'll post yields when I have them on it. When I blasted I had all the butane sitting in dry ice and then froze each column down to negative 20° and then attached the clamps pulled a vac and blasted. I wish I could freeze my whole column after pulling a vac to it but I want because the stand. And it would take like 15 lbs of dry ice... I've been using 6.8 lbs of dry for per extraction session which tends to do the trick. From now on I plan to only do two runs at a time and try and time it all out better.

Yeah man that stand don't let it fit in a cooler try a bin. As to yeild that's oddly low you said material was fluff but was not frosty ? No frost no oil. Also wanna pack but not to much. I left it unpacked last run got a shitty yeild.

Yea it came out to 10.4g From 335g or so of material. Here is the slab that's still purging not as dark as I thought it was going to be, and has a really nice purple smell like the buds. Other than the amount of butane and yield the outcome is pretty good. I bet it would have been another gram or two at least if I didn't dewax but oh well dark crumble would have been worse to have in my opinion.
